Hi! My eyes are bothered by how bright the normal site is. I recently found a stylish mod that darkens the site, but doesn't give you any advantage over players / edit anything like swipp items etc. Is this still not allowed?
I have it disabled while I wait for an answer, and will uninstall if it's not allowed.

@Glasglow
Unfortunately it's forbidden under this clause in the Terms of Service:
12. The use of bots, scripts, or third party software that shortcut or alter site functions to run or appear in ways that are not intended by site design is not permitted. (Updated 11/26/2013)
Also, just as a sidenote, Stylish has a pretty sketchy history (keyloggers, selling information, etc.) so for use with
other sites that
do allow its use, I'd recommend switching to Stylus.

See, I'm still confused. Because from what I've seen they bar extensions because they give advantages (such as highlighting swipp items, etc). But oh well :shrug:

there should be a setting available on your computer OS settings that can change the lighting on the monitor to a 'night mode' which is easier on your eyes and perfectly okay to use.
edit: you can also offer your support to the Suggestions forum for an on-site dark/ night mode option

Here's a small list of links to Helpful Forum Guides:
I would recommend actually asking the staff through the Contact Us link, since it doesn't actually provide any advantage other than not burning your eyes.

Regardless of whether or not it provides an advantage, staff have clearly stated that anything that is created to alter the way you experience the site falls under that ban. They've banned people in the past, if I recall correctly, but even if they didn't, the rules are clear.
