I have a few questions, but none deserving of taking up more forum space so here I go (hope that is allowed.. ._.)
one, Is there a way of buying rusted chests in bulk?
two, is there a guide or anything to know what genes are in highest demands, or if your breed/genetics of a dragon you have is liked/wanted?
three, How do you get more than one Gen 1 dragon? I thought it was just the first dragons you earned in the beginning of the game and thats it? I hear about eggs, but no clue as to what it entails
Hope I can get answers soon, thanks for your help!

@eledina5 if you have multiple questions, keeping them condensed in one post is actually the best idea, yep! making a whole bunch of threads at once with one question each would kind of spam the forum, so this helps keep things clean. ^^; (if you have a new question in the future though, do make a new thread! threads without posts are how forum helpers find the things needing help. c: )
1) you can set stack sizes when searching the AH. for example, this search only shows stacks of 99 Rusted Treasure Chests. you can set it to sort by "Unit Price: Lowest to Highest" to make sure you're seeing the best deals.
2) as a general rule of thumb, newest genes are the most desirable for a short time after their release, and overall the newest gem genes tend to stay desirable for quite a while. other than that, no, there's no hard and fast rules. it's good if a dragon has newER genes as opposed to older ones, as well as matchy colors, but that's no guarantee a dragon will sell at a certain price or sell above fodder price at all. best thing to do would be to price check similar dragons on the AH and go from there.
3) your starter dragons (Progenitors) are Gen 1, but not all Gen 1s are progens. progens can't be traded or sold, only exalted (and don't pay anything if you do), but normal Gen 1s can be traded/sold freely (you can set the AH to search for them) and do give an exaltation payout. G1s can be hatched from elemental Unhatched Egg items, which can be found rarely in Scavenging and in the Coliseum.

as well as breed-specific eggs available from the Night of the Nocturne event in December and Baldwin's Bubbling Brew year-round respectively:

feel free to let me know if you have other questions! ^^

Unhatched Fire Egg
Dragon Eggs
A smoldering, unhatched fire egg. It is almost too hot to hold and is rocking back and forth constantly. Its cragged surface is pulsing with embers.

Unhatched Lightning Egg
Dragon Eggs
A super-charged glassy egg with a flashing baby dragon inside. The egg is hard to look at for long periods of time, but quite the conversation topic.
0
Unhatched Nature Egg
Dragon Eggs
A fertile, earthen pod that has attracted a healthy colony of fireflies. It is bursting with ripe, healthy green leaves and looks about ready to bloom.

as well as breed-specific eggs available from the Night of the Nocturne event in December and Baldwin's Bubbling Brew year-round respectively:
Unhatched Nocturne Egg
Dragon Eggs
A tiny Nocturne hatchling grows within. The thick, armored shell makes it unclear what elemental alignment it has taken.

Unhatched Bogsneak Egg
Dragon Eggs
A tiny Bogsneak hatchling grows within. The thick, armored shell makes it unclear what elemental alignment it has taken.
