Clan members who disagree with Daniel's ideas have begun to rebel, and it is thus deemed that a brave new heir to the clan must be found. I'm planning to write similar short drabbles for each event in the legacy. That said, I haven't written regularly in a long time; while I'm hoping this'll get me back into that flow, it might be a bit rough for right now. :P [s]One day I'm hoping to add more graphics/art/etc to this thread. Wavecrest is less of an official clan leader and more of a traveling mercenary staying with the Core to train. You know I just had a daughter.” “Baja,” Wavecrest said with a nod. Puck had been more involved than normal with this most recent nest, seeing as two of the three eggs never hatched—or so the clan had been led to believe. Wavecrest had his suspicions about Sango, but he knew by now to hold his tongue if he wanted to stay in the clan’s favor during his stay. “Baja. A lucky hatch, in more ways than one. She’s still young, but she’s powerful. I can sense it in her.” “And the dreams?” “I believe the dreams are telling me I am destined to have a long, powerful legacy. And I believe this legacy will be what helps me get this clan back on the right path. Into the right hands, if you will.” Wavecrest nodded respectfully. “But for that to work, I need these hatchlings to be strong. Stronger than even I am now. That’s why I’m requesting your help.” “To oversee their training.” “Not just that. I need each of my heirs to be the strongest of its clutch. The weak ones are useless to me. I want you to ensure that only the strongest young survives.” Wavecrest began to get the slightest inkling that what Sango was planning could be... unethical. And yet... “What’s in it for me?” Sango scoffed. “Not being killed when the uprising begins?” “Threats don’t scare me, Sango. I could crush you now if I wanted to.” Sango rolled all four of her blank white eyes. “You’ll get your share of loot from the monster battles. I have no use for trinkets.” Wavecrest nodded. A collector at heart, he was fascinated by Beastclan artifacts. Sango knew this. “I’ll help you,” Wavecrest said. “But I have one thing to ask of you.” Sango waited. “I implore that you consider Baja’s feelings as she grows older, else she will just become angry and jaded. If she is so fated to become a mother, that is no way for her to raise her hatchlings.” Sango considered this, rolling her head. Her fins twitched, and her claws scraped at the icy ground. But now that that's done, it's baby time! For the boy: a breed upgrade. For the girl: a primary upgrade. They also both got peregrine, which I guess I thought was uncommon at the time and is actually common. Whoops. Either way, they're both nice looking and I wouldn't mind either as an heir. Benedict's size, however, made it easy for him to stumble over his sister, often resulting in the sharp sting of tiny claws. Baja felt a surge of pride every time Aleda retaliated; she was tiny, but she was a fighter. i'm really happy with how her hatchlings look too! benedict's breed upgrade would be nice too but we'll see what happens :P

I decided to discard the Mandatory Coaches rule after a few battles because I kept habitually letting Baja attack and it was throwing me off. Still, Aleda and Baja withstood a fair amount of battles, fighting in sync, one amping it up when the other's HP dropped too low. Until... [img]https://imgur.com/oLr4iUT.png[/img] An Amaranth Moth took Aleda down, which means Benedict is the generation three heir. Called it! XD I ran Benedict and Henrietta trough the (S)crying Workshop. They're a bit of a gamble, but some of their potential offspring look pretty good, too!

Oh and btw, will you go back to write about heir selection day, or will you skip it entirely? Just curious :3
