Hello and welcome to my crazy [s]endless[/s] project! This is a personal thread to record milestones and write stuff about this project, but comments are welcome here (Just don't ping me if you do, I'm subscribed!) Well, the idea for this began with the introduction of gaolers. I'm a g1 collector and I like to put clothes on my dragons, so my OCD couldn't stand the idea of having ancient dragons without clothes next to the other dragons with clothes (perma hatchlings bother me enough). That's when I had the idea to start a subclan named Gaiola in a new tab, apart from my main clan! You can check Gaiola records in the next posts, but here are the ground rules for this project, because it's going to be... a journey.

The dragons need to buy their own stuff, and the only way for them to get treasure is to sell their own Coliseum loot.
Item valuation will be as follows:

Most items will be valued by their average hoard selling price, depending on the venue.
Common familiars are valued at 3kt and common apparel are valued at 4kt.
Common battle stones are valued by their hoard selling price.
Chests must be openned and valued according to their drops.
Rare drops are valued by their LAH price, or reserved for later use.
Festival currency are valued at 400t a piece, and festival chests are valued at 30kt.
Gems are valued at 1g:1000t for both selling and buying items.
I can exchange Gaiola's currency with my main clan's freely.

Only earth gaolers with no relation to other clans are allowed, which means, in order to expand the clan, the gaolers must breed or transform earth g1s in gaolers.
The goal is to get at least 20 couples of gaolers, so they can keep a continuous breeding cycle. After they get to the 5th generation and are able to breed with each other, I may choose to breed distant cousins.
I can only exalt gaolers when they get a breed exalt bonus day.
...I may change or add rules later. [emoji=gaoler tongue size=1]
Edit: I don't plan on posting new updates here for now, because Gaiola dragons will mostly work as fodder breeders from now on. I'll keep updating the family tree though. I'll probably only post here again if I get more nice primal gaolers, but considering I only hatched two primals ever, that will take a while.

 1. The dragons need to buy their own stuff, and the only way for them to get treasure is to sell their own Coliseum loot.
 2. Item valuation will be as follows:

 4. The goal is to get at least 20 couples of gaolers, so they can keep a continuous breeding cycle. After they get to the 5th generation and are able to breed with each other, I may choose to breed distant cousins.
 5. I can only exalt gaolers when they get a breed exalt bonus day.
 6. ...I may change or add rules later.

Edit: I don't plan on posting new updates here for now, because Gaiola dragons will mostly work as fodder breeders from now on. I'll keep updating the family tree though. Day 1
Marana worked as hard as she could to get the clan started. She trained really hard against the beastclans, until she got to level 10, after many difficulties. In the meantime, she collected a nice amount of food and half the money she needs to turn the tiny fae called Machai into a strong, beautiful gaoler.
A good start, but not nearly enough. She knows there is a very long road in front of her, but now that she broke free, she is determined to turn Gaiola into the greatest ancient clan in Sornieth.

Day 2 (...actually day 9)
It's been a really busy week so I didn't have that much time to progress in here but...
Marana has definitely pushed herself too hard, and she learnt that the bad way. She had to stay in her cave for almost a week, and after that she decided to fight only weaker monsters and just sell their loot to reach her goal for the most important gaoler scroll - Machai's.
After a few days, the Brightshine Jubilee arrived. Shiny tablets and chests started showing up between the loot, and that definitely helped as she finally reached her first goal! She now has a worthy, beautiful husband: Machai is now a gaoler!
She also decided to take the festival and her new coliseum partner as an opportunity for a new, challenging goal: an Eliminate stone would definitely help a lot as they progress.

(... by the way, I love how this thread already has a meme from the very beginning LOL thanks Sofy)

Day 3
Marana and Machai started working together, but after some time, Marana got really angry at Machai because... Well, he wasn't that much of a help. Machai was clearly more comfortable at healing her than making serious damage to their enemies. So at the end of the day, they had to go back to the Training Fields again to gather some more easy loot and grab enough money for Marana's Eliminate.
They finally managed to get it, and Marana was sure they now had a much better chance at fightning stronger opponents. Now what's next? The rest of their battle stones - it's time to train for real now.

Day 3 - BONUS! (First rare drop! [emoji=gaoler scared size=1]) "Seriously, why don't you actually HELP me?" said Marana. "Come on, my dear! I am helping you, I'm doing my bes... AAAH--" Machai was attacked by an Umberhorn Qiriq and started screaming helplessly. Annoyed, but a little entertained by how ridiculous the small gaoler looked, Marana took the Qiriq and threw it away with a slap. "It's fine. I can't really afford to get another mate, so you'll do. Let's go back to the Woodland Path for now though, it'll be quicker that way. Just follow my lead and don't get too far behind." Marana wasn't patient at all with him, but she was kinda getting attached to the soft gaoler. He was sweet to her after all, and that endless battling would get boring without some distraction. They spent some hours in the woods and she was finally ready to call it a night and go back to their cave to sleep. Stomping over the last dryad, she called Machai and started walking home. "Hey, Mara! Wait a second..." he said. "What is it? Let's go already! And I already told you not to call me that" she replied harshly. "What is this on the ground?" A little leaf could be seen where Machai pointed, with a small protuberance getting out of the ground where she stepped before. "It's just a plant, Machai. Come on." "Are you sure?" He pulled the small glowing plant off the ground, and she couldn't contain her surprise. "Oh my! Give me it! Could it be...?" It was. It really was. An egg. [item=Unhatched Nature Egg] "That's awesome! A nature egg! Can we hatch it?" "Are you crazy, Machai? We are a pure Earth clan! And also, I have much better plans for it..." "What plans?" "Well, I'll sell it to our merchant, of course. With that amount of money, we can get the last battle equipment I need to make my life a little easier, as you're definitely not helping me that much. And then..." Machai looked sad to realize their first egg wouldn't really become a partner for them, but they did really need the equipment. But what else? "...Then what?" "It's obvious, isn't it? I need some actually respectable horns. I'd even say we both need Gnarlhorns." To be fair, a gaoler can't really defend itself without nice, strong horns.

Day 4 A quick update because my headache is killing me and I can't really write stuff: Marana just got her so desired and awesome Gnarlhorns! Update: Marana and Machai just dropped another egg! [item=Unhatched Arcane Egg] Update 2: I'm feeling better now and I finally had the time to grind a lot, so... After a very productive day of fighting, Marana and Machai managed to get enough money for both of their great Gnarlhorns, and also all the battle equipment they needed. "I'm actually proud, Machai. I'm doing great, and you... are finally proving useful now." said Marana, feeling much more proud than she would admit to be. "Thanks my dear! These horns are so awesome, you look gorgeous!" "I know. Now..." "Oh no, Mara. Sorry but I must stop you right there. I know you want to set our next goal, but seriously, let's just take some rest, we need a good night of sleep." Marana was silent for a bit, actually more irritated by how Machai insisted to call her than by his lazy proposal, but finally she replied: "For the first time, I agree with you. Let's go back home."

Day 5 "Come on Mara, please..." "Let's go Machai. We have more important things to do. And for the last time, stop calling me that!" "But look! Their hair look so awesome!..." Marana was so angry to have accepted to go to the Marketplace to decide their new secondary genes. Machai was certainly annoying when asking for things. "...We would look like gods..." Suddenly, Marana stopped. "Gods, you say?" "Yes, my dear!" Machai was really excited to finally make some progress in convincing her "Like... new deities, even! Just imagine how great our huge horns would look with that shiny hair!" Marana stopped and looked at the gaoler models. Facet definitely looked like a beautiful gene on them, making their manes shiny and beautiful. But let's be honest, she didn't care about hair. She just wanted to be better... Better than Him. Maybe she could start by looking that much better than Him. "I'll see what I can do. But two Facets would cost much more than we can afford right now, and well... We would need to get them before our first ritual, in two days." "Ritual? What are you talking about?" Marana didn't really mean to talk about the ritual yet. She didn't know how Machai would react to that, but he would need to join her in the ritual so she could get an actual clan. "You'll know soon, summer child." ----- "We did it, Mara! We are finally done training! Congratulations!" Machai couldn't contain his excitement. "Yes. But this is just our first step on the way to build this clan." "Oh come on, dear, let's celebrate a bit!" "I just want to go home and rest." "After a nice dinner! I'll cook for you." "...Sure, Machai." They started walking towards the cave. Marana was even more silent than normal. Machai observed her and saw that she looked worried. "What's wrong, my dear?" "Nothing. I mean... We pushed it so far today, and yet..." "We're nowhere near our Facets. I know." Marana took a look at him. "And now what?" "Now... You'll find a way! I trust you." She knew there was a way to get the facets and avoid delaying the ritual. But would it be safe? Should she really trust the merchant? And how much would that actually cost? Marana decided to stop thinking about it for now. After all, she was just too tired to lose a good night of sleep with that.
