You open your eyes and find yourself flat on your back, staring at a sky filled with stars. You hear laughter and turn your head, spotting a female pearlcatcher peeking at you from the shadows. "Why hello." she says, stepping forward, "Welcome to The Haven of Fate."
You sit up groggily. "What?"
“The haven is a place where wandering dragons can find a home of their own,” she explains. Something crashes in the background, and the pearlcatcher jumps and glares behind her. “They better not have broken anything this time,” she grumbles, then seems to remember that you’re still here. She turns back to you and resumes her calm demeanor. “Do you have any questions?”
“How did I get here? I thought I fell asleep.”
The pearlcatcher smiles patiently. “You did. The haven is halfway between the world of dreams and the world of waking. People are often drawn here when they’re fated to find a dragon of their own.”
You raise your eyebrows, about to ask more questions, but she cuts you off with a brilliant smile and steps aside. “Why don’t you have a look around and see if you find what you seek?”
1. I'd really appreciate it if you didn't take these dragons just to exalt or resell them right away. Of course, I understand if you don't want to keep them forever, but it would be great if you could keep them for at least two weeks or breed them once first!
2. I am subscribed to the thread, so there is no need to ping, but it's okay if you do.
3. Almost all of the dragons on here will be prenamed. They are mostly bred in my lair, however some are fodder rescues or donations.
4. When requesting a dragon, just put either the dragons name or widget. I'd rather you didn't use ID numbers, because then I have to go search through dragons until I find the one you're talking about.
5. You can have one dragon per day and up to three per week, but if there are multiple dragons from the same nest, you can only have one of them. The exception to this is if for lore reasons you need siblings.
6. Please give me a reason for wanting the dragon. This can be a snippet of lore, an outfit or gene plan, or even just saying you think they're pretty or you want them for breeding! (Also, if you write lore or make art, I will send you some extra goodies!)
7. Tell me a weird fact about yourself so that I know you read the rules! (If that makes you uncomfortable, a weird fact about one of your dragons or an animal is fine.) If you've adopted form here before you don't have to do this every time if you don't want to.
8. I can hold dragons for up to two days, but once they are in a cr, you have about two days to accept, depending on how much space I have. If not accepted by then, I'll cancel the cr.
9. You can join the general pinglist or pinglists for pairs. I do not ping the general pinglist for every nest, because that would be very annoying, so if there is a particular pair you want hatchlings from, I'd recommend getting on their specific pinglist. The general pinglist typically gets pinged whenever I have dragons from lots of nests at once or have general announcements. Also, if you're looking for a more specific type of hatchling from a certain pair I can put you on a special pinglist, just let me know!
10. For some dragons I offer on here, I will request that you write lore or make art for them. I will reserve them and you will have two days to finish. (If you need extra time just let me know).
