(Once again, apologies for the late reply. Also apologies for the lengthy opening, I think I was inspired today...)

It's Supply-Gathering day for one small group of dragons, which means heading out to the nearest Marketplace to do some much needed shopping for items of necessity...and in the case of some, items of pleasure.

"Ahhh, that new jewelery they have on sale are so gorgeous!" cries out Ako, a rather wide-eyed and excited young Skydancer, currently living up to her specie's name as she hovers about the local jeweler's kiosk...which happens to be owned by one of her own lairmates, a slightly older Imperial female who is currently on her last nerve in humoring the little loiterer.

"Ako, I know for a fact you're broke and I'm trying to do business here, so will you please just go?"

"Come oooooon, Yayoi, let me at least feel the bracer! Or maybe touch the necklace? Oooh, oooh, or how about just lick the opal on that o--"

"Ako, that's ENOUGH. Honestly, child, you're embarrassing me as a fellow 'Dancer!" Cinder, who was only a kiosk away to browse their collection of scrolls and written works, tossed a glare at the young blue dragon from behind his his spectacles. Said glare is, of course, mocked with a tongue-flick and a "hmph!" by said dragon, causing Yayoi to rub at her pained brow as both Skydancers begin to verbally assault each other in front of her shop like little hatchlings. Oh for the love of the deities, you two, not in front of her kiosk, everyone's staring!

One such spectator was the Spiral Quynh, a dragon darker than black with a crackle of purple running over her skin like she had been struck by lightening. She had just finished her own version of 'shopping', more than a few of the gems in her pouches not rightfully her's. But the older dragon could hardly help herself around such pretty little rocks -- what was a girl to do?

She was about to show some amazing restrain and head home with her new pretties, but the commotion from the stalls caught her attention. More specifically to one of the gems set on a simple bracelet. Slithering over, the Spiral gently picked up the bracelet and weighed it in her claws. "What a magnificent gem. Is that opal? Black opal, if I'm not mistaken. Opal is a hydrated amorphous form of silica; its water content may range from 3 to 21% by weight, but is usually between 6 and 10%. Because of its amorphous character, it is classed as a mineraloid, unlike the other crystalline forms of silica, which are classed as minerals. It is deposited at a relatively low temperature and may occur in the fissures of almost any kind of rock, being most commonly found with limonite, sandstone, rhyolite, marl, and basalt. In most cases it's cheap but exceptionally beautiful...like now."

Pausing, Quynh blinked a few times and let out a small laugh. "Oh my, I seem to have blathered a bit too much. What's the price on it?"

"You GUYS! Take it ELSEWHERE, you're making a fool out of yourselves in front of my stall!"

"In a minute, Yayoi dear, once I deal with this little troublemaker here!" The older male Skydancer adjusted his spectacles so to properly stare down at the smaller blue female, who looks to be seconds away from punching that smug look off his face. This only upset Yayoi even more, as it's clear as day neither one of them is going to quit this bickering anytime soon.

But just before the Imperial starts to consider calling in for backup, a ray of light shines her way in the form of a would-be customer! A very well-read one, at that! "O-oh no, you weren't blathering at all, actually! That's precisely why opal is one of my favorite types of mineraloid to work with, in fact! This one in particular was brought to me by one of my lairmates, who used to be in an Earth flight. It was apparently part of her old rock collection from back in the day, but since she grew tired of it, she gave it to me to play with, and this is what I made! And you're correct that it's black opal...but check this out."

Yayoi holds the bracelet up to the light...specifically, the blast of Light-type energy Cinder spews out at Ako as the fight gets even more hostile, with the two acting less like Skydancers and more like Skywrestlers on the ground, causing a scene. And while there are plenty of other dragons watching the crazy spectacle, Yayoi is so entranced with showing off her jewelery to her would-be customer that she has failed to notice even that. "When you put it up to the light just so...there, see? Flecks of blue and green and even a little red. Why, the shade of red almost matches your reddish scales, madam!"

"Yayoooooi, little help here?" Cinder winces as Ako has him in a chokehold with his own scarf. "Ako fights dirty!"

"I do not! And darn it, Yayoi, don't you dare sell that one, it's mine!"

"Ignore them, madam, they're just hatchlings. Anyway, as this is a one of a kind item, that'll be 45,000 treasure. So are you interested?"

@Kompy

(Quynh isn't really red...but whatever, I'll roll with it xD)

"Ah, 45,000 treasure is quite a good price. However, would you consider perhaps lowering the price if I get rid of these pests?" Quynh nodded her head towards Cinder and Ako sprawled on the ground, amused by their antics but realizing she could save a pretty penny if she was contracted to put a stop to their public embarrassment.

"Here." Quynh took the bracelet from Yayoi's claws and held it before her like the treat it was. "Ako, want it so bad? I'm afraid you'll have to follow me to get it, or I'll claim it indeed as my own. Can you catch me?" At this, the older Spiral took off into the air, the bracelet carefully clutched in her claws. She was headed away from the city -- and if this so called 'Ako' didn't manage to catch her, Quynh was sure to get a nice new shiny toy...for free!

Well, okay, one of her lairmates would drag her back when they found out, but that would at least leave her some time to scrounge up enough treasure to pay. Ah, this might work out quite nicely!

(well, reddish...magenta...close enough :P)

"Well, I suppose I could, as they have been--HEY! WAIT A SECOND!" Before the Imperial could even consent to the idea, let alone protest it , Quynh got right to work on her plan, getting the attention of all three dragons, but especially the little blue 'Dancer.

"HEYYYY! THAT'S MINE! I was TOTALLY going to pay for that, give it!" With wings spread, Ako hopped on top larger male 'Dancer's head for altitude and began to give chase after the Spiral, unbeknownst just how far they were going or what Quynh's actual was. Ako's flight was swift and strong, but the Spiral will have little issues being able to outmanuver her for the most part. That said, the blue Skydancer was not giving up the goods without a fight. So off she went right on Quynh's tail, none the wiser of what she was up to, aside from taking her prize of course.

"Oh, for...Ako! Stupid girl.." Cinder, meanwhile, was too busy checking to see if his glasses were still in one piece to even care to go after Ako or the other dragon. "I swear on my tail, if she left even a scratch on these..."

"CINDER!" Yayoi, in the meantime, was NOT PLEASED. "Cinder, I'm worried. Can you go after them?"

"Tch, must I?"

"YES. I can't leave my post and I'm worried about that bracelet! What if Ako steals it from her? What if...what if she doesn't actually come back to pay me?"

Once satisfied that his spectacles were fine, Cinder leveled his eyes at the Imperial. "And this is my concern, why?"

"Oh come on, we're lairmates! Plus you and Ako were making a mess in front of MY shop, you owe me!"

"Oh very well, if I must! How hard can it be to track those two, anyway? Besides, I might know someone who could assist me in tracking them..."

(Dang you color spectrum. Stop making good people fight :,( )

Well, the race against Ako didn't last long, though for the record Quynh was doing a lot better than the Skydancer. Though with her long body, it was a little unfair at how much of an advantage she had in twist mid-air. Unfortunately all this twisting eventually ended in Quynh dropping the bracelet into the forest. She stared at it for a moment, letting out a little hiss of disappointment as it dropped out of sight. "Oh my."

She was /going/ to drop after it, really, but unfortunately Ako was a little faster at it. Ah, were they going to have to fight for it? Quynh hurried after the Skydancer and dropped to the forest's floor in order to look for the shiny thing. "Hey, girlie, finders' keepers!"

(Bah, if this is a fight, I think I'll live :P)

"OOOH! How DARE you! First you BLATANTLY try to steal it from my friend, then you even MORE blatantly rub it in that you stole it from ME and now YOU DROP IT?!" The young blue Skydancer is not pleased. This day just cannot get any worse than it has already! And now to have to go down to that dark and gross-looking forest to race get her shiny? This is just great!

...but then again, Ako's never been one to turn down a challenge, so down she goes as well, breaking through the treetops and scrambling from branch to branch (some being more stubborn than others to GET OUT OF HER WAY) while looking for any glimmer of hope of finding the bracer first. "Why you...you dumb ol' snake! Why'd you have to go and do this?"

"I do not appreciate name calling at all! What are you, a hatchling?" Quynh snorted, scrambling herself to find the bracer. It had to be...somewhere around here...aha! Quynh held up the bracer with her tail triumphently and glanced over at Ako. She was impressed by the young Skydancer's passion, if anything. "Alright, alright, here you go. I'm returning it fair and square...and thankfully it doesn't look damaged. You young ones, though."

Quynh handed over the bracer to Ako and shook her head. "You have enough energy to rival the sun, that is sure."

(blah, so slow with these. I blame art commissions for distracting me so >:/)

"Hey, it's not like I know your name anyway, plus what do I care about how a THIEF feels!" Ako continues her frantic search, but then it happened -- the Spiral got to it first.

The blue from her scales almost seems to fade from the look of shock she had. She lost the shiny. What's worse, that's a shiny belonging to a lairmate and if she didn't get it back, she's going to be in soooo much trouble back home...

But then Quynh does something unimaginable: she gives it back. Ako takes a moment to feel the bracer...and its the real deal, shiny black opal and all. "Ah...you....bluh?" It takes her a moment to find her words again. "You...that's it? You're...you're just giving it back? I....I don't get it..."

"So you swear they went this way, Cinder?" A massive male Ridgeback can be seen flying over the forest area, the bespectacled male Skylander from before following close beside him.

"Yes, that's correct, sir. Ako and the Spiral took to the west from here. Beyond that, I'm afraid I can't say more."

"I see. Luckily, I know my way around these forests well enough, so I doubt we'll have trouble finding those two. Especially Ako...I swear, I would not put it past her to have planned this, she's always been a troublemaker. If she thinks she can get away with stealing from her own lair, I'll light up this entire forest myself if need be!"

"Now hold on there. Takatora, let's not get too ahead of ourselves here with the wanton destruction. It's just jewelery, after all. Besides, I highly doubt she'd go as far as to recruit someone from another Lair just to steal one tiny trinket."

"It's not what she stole that is the issue here, Cinder, is the disrespect she gives to her family by doing this! That said...I suppose you're right. We'll work out her suitable punishment AFTER we find her."

And so off the two dragons continue their search, Cinder lagging behind as regret starts to swell in his chest. This...WAS the best way to find them, right...?
