Igniting the hidden generators in the room over, the whirring and crackling of energy could be heard approaching, until the portal came to life. The once hollow, dead and lonely interior of the portal, of which the rock wall shown through, was inhabited by a eerie blue and purple haze that seemed to flow like water. Aneth, who had ran to grab Harellan and Brainstorm during this time, came back into the lab and together the quartet gathered and entered the portal. coming out of the other side they found themselves in a sunlight filled glade of Arcanian origin.

The tiny pink Skydancer dozing in the sun awoke with an abrupt start at the sudden appearance of the four dragons. She squeaked in surprise and fear at the sight of the two looming, unfamiliar dragons standing beside the thought-dead Aneth and Harellan, and fluttered off as quickly as her scraggly little wings could carry her. The four entered and immediately noticed the now-awake Pearlcatcher, who seemed terrified of the appearance of the four larger dragons (well three, Harellan was quite small). Watching her flee, Brainstorm looked at Moonracer, who seemed to reflect his anxiety in the thought of a possible attack in the name of defense.

A few moments passed, in which the lovely little glade rang with lovely little windchimes. Harellan chirped something to Aneth, who snickered primly - if such a thing were to be possible. A colossal Imperial, shimmering with pale greens and blues and greys, appeared almost silently, pushing through the bleached grasses easily. The tiny Skydancer sat on his shoulder, her wide violet eyes locked on Brainstorm with a mixture of childlike fascination and terror. His icy settled on Aneth, and they widened for a fraction of a second in surprise before becoming professional once more. "Child, who have you brought to us?"

"One of our members found her and her friend, Harellan, fighting centaurs in a glade not far from this one. Seeing that they could not possibly survive, she intervened, and brought them back to our lair in the Shifting Expanse. There they have rested and healed from their battle, that they almost perished from.' Moonracer, seeing nothing else to expand upon, just nodded her head once, head frills tense with unease. The drake seemed uneasy about their arrival.

The Imperial paused to consider this deeply, his eyes ghosting over the pair of Coterie dragons and then the two stranfers. The tiny Skydancer made a whimpering sound as Brainstorm grew closer, and she ducked behind the Imperial's folded wings.

"Is this true, Aneth?" he asked. "Centaurs, was it?"

He glanced back at Brainstorm. "If this is the case, I thank you for saving the lives of two younglings out of their depths. I am sure they have learned their lesson on seeking out fights they were unprepared for, and are grateful to be here, yes?"

Harellan made a derisive trilling sound, but Aneth nodded.

"Yes, thank you very much," she said, addressing Moonracer and Brainstorm.

"We are in your debt," the Imperial said. "I am Shemlen, Deputy of the Summer Coterie."

Brainstorm dipped his beaked head, mindful not to poke anyone or thing. "Greetings, Shemlen. I am Brainstorm, deputy of the Obsidian Order. This is Moonracer, our leader and prophet."

Shemlen dipped his head in kind, first to Moonracer and then to Brainstorm.

"Is there any form of hospitality we can offer to either of you?" he asked. "It is a great privilege to have the leader and deputy of an Order present in our clan. I admit, it is not quite the most beautiful at this moment due to our past affiliations, but we can offer food and rest and company."

'Whatever you feel is comfortable, we do not wish to be intruding." Brainstorm said, much to the probably chagrin of the ancient mirror. Moonracer wanted to get back. All of this green plant matter was upsetting her eyes. Feeling this, Brainstorm prepared himself for a rude remark. However he received none.

"Yes, we would not want to barge into your home." She replied, her grating voice the most pleasant he has ever heard it since he came he thought. Not that it was, but it seemed....less harsh than normal.

"There would be no intrusion; your Order is welcome so long as peace is kept. Whatever you feel to be comfortable; I understand this can be somewhat jarring to one from the Lightning flight," Shemlen said, his eyes on Moonracer with a glint of understanding. "I myself am still not completely adapted and I have lived here longer than most present in this clan today save our leader."

The Skydancer squeaked in surprise, and Shemlen seemed to only then remember the tiny creature's presence.

"This is my apprentice, Leek," Shemlen added as an afterthought.
