Wild by Nature
This winter was especially hard. Food was scarce and extremely hard to come by. There was a thick layer of snow that went on for miles as it seemed. One would think that the sun would decide to grace the world with it's presence. But it has been some time since it's warmth has been felt. Only the sharp pinches of the ice and slow that constantly showered the wolves daily. The pack was growing restless. They wanted food, and as the Alpha Shiori had an obligation to provide. There were rumors of a place beyond the horizon where quail and squirrels and hogs run bountifully and the water supply is fresh and never runs dry. Shiori had not bothered to corroborate this claim, seeing as it was his only hope of preserving the pack. The pack was small, but it was growing. There have only be two or three young wolves who have challenged Shiori. All of which were quickly put back into their place. Shiori is a good leader, he is kind and fair, while also being tough and respectable. He and the others are on their way to a place that may or may not exist. But it doesn't matter as long as they are together and under the loving but strong leadership of Shiori.
The pack has no name yet. But they do have enemies. Shiori's cousin was the previous Alpha of the pack before Shiori. His name was Haru Swiftpaw. He was the strongest and fastest wolf around. But as Shiori became of age Haru's status as Alpha was challenged. Shiori was equally as big now and almost faster. Haru loved Shiori, but he wasn't going to give up his spot as Alpha easily. There was a long and bloody battle between the two. Of course Shiori won, and in shame Haru ran away. Alone, angry and vengeful, Haru started another pack. It consists of outcasts, and dangerously violent but loyal wolves. They would follow Haru to the grave, but Haru intends to take Shiori and all of his traitorous pack with him.
