So I'm VERY new to this and I'll warn you ahead of time to be patient with me. Constructive criticism and help is much appreciated:

The king cast his gaze across the room before looking to his adviser. The loathe between the retired knight and the sorceress could be detected by the blind, deaf, and dead. It made the crowd of students before them uneasy. Green knights and mages so new they still needed books and staves to focus their magic.

"None of us wants to be here, but we must. The dragons have gone mad. They must be cured, controlled, or slain." The king began in a low, stern tone with a hard look fixed on his brow. The sorceress looked at her mages, "Their fate rests in your hands."

You look at your hands. Slowly they close and you look up with determination. "Death, life, or misery the choice is yours. A great burden, and a great gift if you make the right decision. So go, it is up to you now."

Plot:
While a magic imbued weapon is great, isn't a magic imbued person even better? When magical abilities are combined with well honed physical strength, the power that can project is immense. A mage and a knight on their own can do great things, but together they could be greater. That is, if you can trust the other.

Mages had always seen dragons as allies being some of the most magically potent beings alive. Knights saw them as a path to glory if they could slay them. Their views collided time and time again creating massive mistrust between them.

So the question comes to this: face to face with death, can you trust your partner not to betray you? Will you save the dragons? Or destroy them?

If you turn in an application it's first come first serve. If it becomes that popular I'll start another identical thread.

Don't worry if we wind up with seven knights and one mage, we'll work it out one way or another just design an awesome character.

History: Wylow was drawn from her reclusive forest home by the disturbance in the natural balance of magic of peace. Having been raised by animals her emotions can change on a dime and her expressions are rather animal like. Once she finds someone she cares about, she's loyal to a fault. Unfortunately, this means she is completely blind to betrayal after a certain point. Although not particularly fond of humans she'll put up with them. She prefers almost ANY other race.

Weapon or Magic: Control over Flora of the general area around her. Even when unconscious plants will still respond to her presence.
History: Morain was a druid trying and failing to keep peace between the nomadic races of Creation and the very settled humans and elves. When the dragons began attacking Morain figured there were less dragons than there were humans and dropped everything to help however she could. Her powers were great but unrefined and she was quickly recruited to help kickstart the Mage+Knight project. Her personality is often depressed and afraid but given the proper comfort and hope she's happy as a flower in the spring

She's shorter, messy brown hair with twigs and leaves growing out of it. Greenish marks loop around her wrists and ankles. Green eyes and a bright smile. Slightly pointed ears and whatever she wears never involves shoes.

Both her parents were mages, and have influenced a lot of her personality. Although she is a smart, bright person, she can be a little clumsy due to her left eye being damaged. The patch that she wears makes her look threatening and makes others avoid her, even though Ruby is very kind and trustworthy. very caring towards dragons. Her enjoyable sense and innocent behavior is what makes her every one want to protect her pure soul. Attach a pic or pic link if you can. They can be brand new or very experienced. A balance of both will create an interesting dynamic between characters so feel free!
