The Story So Far

In the depths of space, the SSD Executor, the crown jewel of the Imperial Navy and flagship of Darth Vader's personal fleet, has been on the hunt for the new Rebel base ever since the evacuation of Base 1 on Yavin IV. However, unbeknownst to her command, a small team of Alliance Intelligence operatives has infiltrated the ship, and has been working for months to keep the Empire off the Rebellion's tail until Echo Base, on the distant planet of Hoth, is firmly established.

Becoming desperate, the Empire recruited the help of bounty hunter Boba Fett and his Half-Rattataki student, Xrayzi Dax.

It was at Slave 1's first return to the Executor that things began to get truly interesting. After learning that Fett and Dax had returned not with the information they requested, but with a prisoner instead, Captain Firmus Piett decided to take the Bounty hunter's catch in spite of their original agreement and headed down to the hangar bay to meet them with Navy Trooper Captain Gavin Dalmerion (secretly, a member of Alliance Intelligence) and the rest of his squad in tow.

Upon meeting the bounty hunter, Piett mentioned that the Empire had, in fact, hired Fett to gather information, not prisoners, and attempted to take the prisoner without offering pay in return, claiming that even Vader wouldn't pay for services he didn't order.

The bounty hunter angrily ordered his apprentice to return the Twi'lek to Slave 1's brig where he could extract the information himself.

The Twi'lek, however, begged not to be returned to the bounty hunter's hold, screaming and begging for help even from the Empire. This noise, combined with the splitting headache the Mandalorian already had, prompted Fett to do the almost unthinkable, and the bounty hunter, in one smooth motion, removed the Twi'lek's hands from his wrists and threw him at the captain's feet, threatening to send his bill directly to the Dark Lord himself.

Horrified and disgusted, Piett felt he had little choice left and led the bounty hunter to his office where they could work out his bill. In the meantime, he ordered Captain Dalemerion to escort their prisoner to the medbay to get cleaned up and then to the brig where he could be interrogated.

The undercover rebel followed orders, attempting to strike up a conversation with the Twi'lek on their way down. He only managed to coax a small bit of information from the man. He convinced the Twi'lek to tell him that his name was Rhy'ull Fenn and that he was picked up from a slaver ship – though most of what the Twi'lek gave him was passionate support of the Rebellion and unbridled spite.

While Gavin hauled the Twi'lek down to the med bay to get what was left of his arms a bacta bath, a transport full of Scout Troopers arrived and settled into the hangar next to Slave 1.

After finishing with Fett, Captain Piett returned to the hangar bay to meet these returning scouts. The scouts, however, seemed less than interested in meeting him, breaking protocol almost immediately as their commanding officer breezed past the captain without so much as an acknowledgement, already on the hunt for their newly-acquired Rebel captive. After learning from another of the scouts, Trent Darrst, just what it was the man was off to do, Piett, bristling, ordered Darsst to fetch his commanding officer back to follow protocol and report on their mission.

Nearby and unbeknownst to the captain, a small squabble was already beginning between Captain Dalmerion's troops and the returning scouts. To prevent Fet and Dax from roaming the ship unescorted, Gavin's troops had formed themself into a solid wall near the door. On his way to the mess hall, scout Liam Aluharm, instead of going around, decided to step straight through this wall, accidentally shoulder checking a trooper in the process.

This trooper, Hobson, had no patience for scouts, and, believing the slight to be intentional, promptly squared up.

As he wasn't looking for trouble, Liam, begrudgingly, apologized for the incident, and the troopers, at least for the moment, simmered down.

Meanwhile, Gavin and Rhy'ull finally reached the medbay, where one of the doctors promptly set about treating the Twi'lek's wrists. While there, the pair ran into another member of Alliance Intel, a Ferrereo by the codename Hazzard, in the medbay to check on an engineer from her Imperial team.

Unfortunately, while Gavin and Hazzard were exchanging greetings, the stress of the day, his hatred for medical wings and his dread of the oncoming interrogation combined to throw Rhy'ull into a panic attack, causing the Twi'lek to vomit and promptly pass out.

While the doctor quickly worked at cleaning up the rebel, the commanding scout Officer revealed some troubling news to Captain Piett. On their mission to raid a Rebel outpost, the scout team had run across a datapad containing Imperial personnel files and planned maneuvers for the Death Fleet.

The two officers were left with only one conclusion: somewhere within their fleet was a network of rebel spies.

Back in the med bay, while the doctor continued ministering to Rhy'ull, Gavin and Hazard quietly discussed what was to become of their Twi'lek companion. Gavin revealing that, at this moment, there was very little he could do: interrogations were strictly outside of his department. The captain decided, silently, that he could make sure Rhy'ull at least didn't end up alone, and instead resolved to lock him in with another recent acquisition: a rogue by the name of Nalias, hoping that the two might bolster each other's spirits. Other than that, there was naught to do but take his sweet time to fill out his paperwork: a trick that wouldn't last long if he kept getting assigned to the bridge.

At this point, Gavin also radioed back to his troops in the hangar bay to see whether or not Slave 1 had departed. Learning that Fett had taken his promise of payment, his apprentice and his bounty's hands and vacated the ship, the captain released his troops, who promptly dispersed, several headed for supper in the mess hall.

Kalvem Thrax was one of those troopers. Unfortunately, he found the room much more crowded than usual thanks to the influx of hungry scouts. Unwilling to part with his food, however, Thrax picked a table near a pair of said troops and hoped that swapping his armor for his uniform before coming down would afford him some peace in spite of his seat-mates.

Those two scouts, Trent Daarst (freshly dismissed and sworn to secrecy on the potential presence of Rebel spies) and Liam Aluharm, seemed, at first, to take no notice of him, instead opting to discuss the effects of the war on their own home planets and families, due to the recent silence from Daarst's family back in the core.

Thrax, however, with his infinite wisdom and seemingly unstoppable mouth (which had already landed him in hot water today when it ran away with him at the sight of Fett's spontaneous appendage removal) butted into this conversation by accident, responding to a question that wasn't for him with a response he hadn't meant to let out of his head. Luckily for the muddle-mouthed trooper, neither Liam nor Trent seemed to mind, and they even invited him into the conversation.

Back in the medbay, not long after Gavin released his troops, Rhy'ull began to stir, and after a few moments of less than gentle prodding (Gavin begrudgingly threatening to drag the poor man down to the brig if he had to) the Twi'lek rose and the pair started down into the depths of the ship, Gavin passing Hazzard one last disguised order on the way out the door, sending her to check on their newest team member, a young Twi'lek by the name of Sinya who was currently working down in Droid Repair....

@BroomHare Personally, I think it's good as if for now. One can always expand later. I enjoy simple plots to start with.

@BroomHare

I'm interested as well, I recently marathon-ed the series and the plot looks fun to work with! I have a bounty hunter who I'm sure could stir up some trouble (if you don't mind an oc having some interaction with cannon characters).
