The species doesn't have a ton of lore, the gist of it is that they hatch from planets and are all representative of a sort of celestial body. We could go for a kind of space travel, futuristic wandering with the two. Maybe your character is looking for something and my character offers to help them, since they know their way around the cosmos relatively well.

I have a character that only has the purpose of finding where they came from. They're a sort of rock species that I invented, called a geode. They have deep magic and can shapeshift. My OC shapeshifts into a female human. If you're interested, I can pull up the pictures I have of her. I don't have any of the geode form, because I can't draw, but I do have her human version that I made from my favorite character design website.
If it's confusing with my pronouns, sorry. The geode does not have a gender, but the human does. Also, I have some stuff on geodes if you'd like to know more.

The difference is that geodes are massive, they tend to be around 10-12 feet tall. They don't have any features that would differentiate gender, because they don't have genders. They very much look like if you drew a person with super defined muscles and then turned all the curved lines into straights.
My geode's name is Ruby. They are just over 12 feet tall and fairly muscled (like halfway between body builder and normal people). They are dark red and have what looks like a crown of gems on the top of their head. Their eyes are pitch black.
If your character can't shift into a human, you don't have to. I'm pretty good with everything.

They switch in between depending on the situation. Most often they are in human form, because geodes are not well known and everyone fears the unknown. However, if there is ever battle or combat or a threat, they will go into their true form as it is stronger.

Alright, then switching should work fine. I'll keep mine in animal form then, since canonically there's no mention of them being able to shape shift. Of course you can save it! If all the anatomy looks right I'll flesh the piece out more, so if you wait a little while I can get you a more finished version too.
