Waspstar | Stoneclan Leader | Featherstar
Waspstar padded through the charred and destroyed forest, his paw steps silent on the mostly ashen ground. It was very easy to sneak around here since there were no leaves or twigs to break under paw. These thoughts drifted through his head mindlessly as he reached the Gathering Place, glad to see his clan had beaten Sunclan there. He leaped a little clumsily into the tree, his small stature making it difficult to reach some of the higher branches. He was glad Featherstar had not been around to see that.
As the Sunclan cats began arriving, Waspstar could not help but scan the crowd for his sister. He quickly spotted her light grey pelt and sleek body. Sighing softly, he almost immediately averted his eyes. His attention was regained by the sound of a cat approaching, and he watched as the other leader joined him, her pristine white pelt barely stained by the ash. The soot did not bother him as it was the same pale grey as his pelt, but Starclan-forbid Featherstar got a speck on her own flawless fur. Resisting the urge to curl his lip at her comment, he nodded. "Good of you to finally join us," the tom mewed, dipping his head respectfully despite the tone of his words, "Would you like to begin?"
Shellbrook | Sunclan Warrior | Cloudripple
Shellbrook padded alongside her clanmates silently, her green eyes focused on the ground under her paws instead of the cats around her. She could hear cats idly chatting, and she flicked her thin tail impatiently. What were the point of words if one did not use them wisely?
As her clan entered the Gathering Place, she watched Featherstar join the Stoneclan leader, high above the other cats. She only spared her sibling a quick glance before searching for somewhere nice to sit. Since her clan had arrived so late, she doubted she would have the time to speak to Waspstar tonight.
Spotting a cat sitting on the edge of the area, she padded over to him. She quickly recognized the tom as Cloudripple, and she dipped her head respectfully at him. Sitting a polite distance away, she wrapped her skinny tail around her fore paws, not wanting to break the comfortable silence that sat between them. Shellbrook had always liked Cloudripple, as he seemed mindful enough to know when and when not to speak. However she had never been around him much, and her sitting so near him was an open invitation to have a simple discussion, if the tom wished to do so. If not, she was content to sit in silence until the Gathering's end.
Salmon/Salmonnose | Sunclan Warrior | Silverpaw
Pushing her way to the front of the crowd and beckoning her apprentice to follow, Salmon hissed under her breath at several nearby Stoneclan cats. Eventually she found a spot as near to the leaders as she could be, and settled into a comfortable crouch, her paws disappearing beneath the thick fur of her neck.
"Are you nervous?" the she-cat asked, turning to Silverpaw. The huge cat was normally only nice when she was flirting, but she had an odd soft spot for her apprentice. Maybe because he was her first one and she did not want to scare him off. She looked at the cats around her, making eye contact with several Stoneclan cats, most of whom would quickly look away. She recognized a tom she had gotten into a border skirmish with, and was glad to see the scratch she had left on his flank was still healing. That would teach him for calling her a kittypet!
Her claws flexed excitedly, hidden beneath her fur. How she would love to rake her claws over that tom's face! But the previous words of Featherstar rang loud in her mind. This was her first gathering in several moons, as she had been banned from them for a short while after swatting a Stoneclan apprentice over the head. Salmon imagined Featherstar had given her Silverpaw, a calm and rational cat, as a way to mellow her out, and it was working. She hated upsetting the little guy, and he was the only cat who could diffuse a situation when she was involved. If any other cat tried to calm her down like he did, she would not tolerate it.
