Charybdis was so excited today! He had just taken his potion and Ansara said he could go play in the Wispwillow Grove...by himself. He didn't like playing with the other hatclings because they kept calling him weird. He wasn't weird! He was special! He had to drink potions and go places they couldn't so ha! He had found a large mushroom to play with and began to bat at it. Once he broke it, he looked for a way to go back home. He looked around and realized he had become lost. He wasn't scared though! He was Charybdis! He had been on many adventures, and this was just one more!

The Grove was easy to get lost in, especially for a smaller sized dragon - regardless of him being an Imperial -who would have to go out of his way to see what the landscape looked like from a higher angle. So in short, unless there was a very special landmark, it was very easy to get lost. Not to mention the bigger fungi could leave little blue specks in your vision from afar if you stared for too long. Another problem with the Wispwillows, and just the Shadow's domain in general, was the easy way creatures could hide in plain sight with the right few colors. Of course, Shadow dragons took this to heart more often than others, but it was still something to look out for. And this what exactly what happened to Charybdis, well kind of. You see, there was another dragon wandering the Grove with him, and for just a short while, she'd caught sight of the Imperial. She silently followed him, expecting his parent to pop up and address him, or something along those lines. But nobody came. He also seemed to be lost.. could this hatchling have been abandoned? Or lost, looking for his clan..? No, what clan of Shadow would let a hatchling wander free? She had to know the answers to this, so she revealed herself, hopefully in a way that didn't startle the hatchling. [color=purple]"Dear,what are you doing out here at this hour?"[/color] She asked softly, stepping into view of the hatchling from standing idly between a few tree's. She was quite brightly colored for the scenery, and it was possible she'd been spotted even before she made herself known. She was somewhat light shades of purple with black fabric draped over her chest, face, and tail. Her hind legs though seemed oddly wounded, almost stiff with the bandages wrapped around them. Charybdis turned around quickly. He yelped as the dragon emerged from the dark. He had thought he was all alone!
"Momma says im not supposed to talk to strangers...but you look cool. I'm playing with the glowy mushrooms by myself. They look so pretty! But i got lost and now i dont know where the clan is. I thought I took the path to the clearing with all the mushrooms...but i didn't ans now im lost. But im not scared miss shadow lady! I'm the one and only Charybdis! I'm brave!" He puffed out his chest and flared his wings, which in all honesty, made him seem cuter.

"Oh my, that's not good at all. We'll have to find your clan, won't we?" She said, lowering herself to all fours so she could look more closely at Charybdis, because in honesty from any other angle he just looked like a reflective noodle. She stood back on her hind legs though after a moment, looking around the area they were in. "Do you have anything you could tell me about your clan?" She asked.
