I’ve got familiars from all over Sornieth available at cheap prices!” Kiyo announced, adjusting her stall sign. The assorted noises coming from all the familiars had been getting on her nerves, so the sooner they sold the better. Carefully rearranging her silks, Kiyo gazed around the stall. She was lost in thought, so didn’t notice the dragon come up behind her. So, he put on a brave face and attempted to march through the market on foot. He dodged feet of all sizes and got lost in the maze of stalls and bodies, trying to find some sort of authority figure that could give him some guidance, or perhaps a rule book someone left on the floor for easy access. Or, barring that, a good Samaritan that would take pity on him. He soon had enough of trying to avoid being stepped on, so he hopped up onto a stall to get some respite from the chaotic energy that the market seemed to radiate. Not that this was a bad thing. On the contrary, he was rather excited to have come to such a lively and populous place, but it was just a bit jarring after living in near isolation for so long. The woods that he resided in were just so quiet in comparison, it made for an intimidating, and yet refreshing sight. A nice smell, accompanied by a call for freshly baked goods, struck him out of his inner monologue. He spied a Ridgeback setting out all manner of treats, and was blessedly unoccupied at the moment, but that wouldn't last. So Kolb rushed to the large dragon, hopping from stall to stall rather than trying to take the crowded paths. It was bound to be faster than that deathtrap, even if he surprised some window shoppers. "Hey uh, 'scuse me, ma'am? Sir?" he called to the Ridgeback, then ducked his head immediately. "Smooth. The smoothest," he muttered to himself. "Sexual dimorphism is awful." He hurriedly cleared his throat while re-adjusting the large sack of supplies slung over his shoulder. "Uh, could you perhaps help me out a little? If it's not too much trouble? I just- I have a lot of things I'm carrying around and I'm hoping people might be interested in them. Maybe. I just need a little direction really quick." (@Solstices Sorry for the ping if you're subbed (;;^3^) )

Yes, I am subbed :)

Kiyo whipped her head around. “Ah, hello!” she lilted. “I presume you are interested in buying a familiar?” She usually had an entire spiel to interest potential customers, but this Skydancer seemed to know what he wanted. The fanciness of his clothing suggested wealth, which meant she could try to persuade him to buy one of the more expensive familiars.

“May I perhaps recommend the Nature Sprite? Very costly, but they are gentle and loyal creatures which makes for a good companion.” she said.

@Pai
I am subbed, but it’s alright :)

Ripple hadn’t expected anyone to visit his stall until lunchtime, so when Kolb called out to him he was busy ‘taste-testing’ the brownies. “Umph, er...” he mumbled, hurriedly trying to swallow the rest. This caused some of it to go down the wrong way, inciting a coughing fit.

Once he had recovered from said fit, he stood to point the Fae in the right direction but tripped on his chair’s leg instead. Picking himself up, he blushed, and decided it was safer to just stay in his chair.

“You’ll want to, er, follow the, uh, path until y-you reach the, um, clothes shop. Right next to the, eh, the clothes shop is a map, yes a map, of the market. You should be able to find a, what’s the word? A spare stall! Yes, a spare stall for you to, uh, sell your items from.” After that long and stumbled-through speech, he buried his head in his claws, thoroughly embarrased.

@Flay624

“You look stunning!” Mabli purred, handing the Bogsneak her change. A sudden crash alerted him to the fact that a nearby Coatl had tripped, and, in the process, managed to rip a small hole in one of the silks.

“What have you done?!” he yelped, rushing over to her. “The silks! The beautiful, beautiful silks!”

'Oh thank the gods, they're even more awkward than I am,' was Kolb's immediate thought before he giggled at the larger dragon's misfortune.

"Heheh, thanks, I'll get right to it. Oh, uh," the fae fumbled with his bag for a moment, reaching in to pull out a lantern nearly as big as he was. "I can give you this, as a thank you? Uh, here," he set it down on the counter and rubbed the back of his neck. "If it gives you trouble, come talk to me and I can switch it out for a different one. These things can get a little unpredictable sometimes. Not - not always though!" He waved his hands in front of himself, as though warding off the thought "They're usually pretty normal, but, y'know, gotta give a disclaimer and everything." He pat the lantern for good measure.

Her head held high as well as her tail. The rack of antlers groing from her head was a bit odd for a Coatl but she wore it like a crown atop a king. Every aspect of this black and white Coatl screamed Regal or Royal. The only thing that seemed a bit out of place from her regal output was the little purple Coatl hatchling that was curled up on her back between her wings. The noise of the market place roused the child and it stretched and yawned before nudging the back of Lenore's neck. "Rosie, you finally woke up. I was getting worried little one." Lenore's voice was soft and soothing as she leaned down to nuzzle the little Hatchling nestle on her back. She took in the elaborate stalls and exotic familiars and clothes. all the different dragons she had never seen before and how small some were and how big others were. The little Hatchling was simply awestruck by everything. "Yes Rosie, this is the market place. and today you get to call the shots. so you tell me where you want to go, and we will go there. which Stall would you like to see first dear?" Lenore asked as she leaned down to nuzzle the excited hatchling again. Rose looked all over until she spotted another Purple coatl who seemed to be having a bit of trouble. "Momma, can we help that lady?" the little girl asked with such a worried expression that Lenore couldn't say no. "Of course dear." and with out another word, Lenore made her way over to the other female Coatl, "Are you alright Miss?" she offered her hand out to the stranger.

"Oh my stars I am sorry about that!" Dancer yelped as she scrambled frantically out of the silk pile. The damage was clearly visible, two ragged gaps between the shiny silk. She doubted that it would be sold now.

Extremely flustered, Dancer cleaned up the rest of the scattered fabric and turned to the mourning coatl. "I am so sorry! I didn't mean to start this, and err let me repay you for this...mess. Just name your price.
