Padded through the thick forest was a strange looking creature trying to take down a demon deer within the forest. It was rare to see a vrikalo hunting alone in the forest without his pack by his side,but this vrikalo had lost his parents to hunters and had been adopted by one of the locals who happened to be a vampire an old solider of the Moon Kingdom. The young pup was lucky enough to be alive because he himself had been snared in a trap by the hunters and used as bait against other vrikalos including his parents who he couldn't much remember who they where to begin with. So he was never raised in a pack or learned how to hunt with one. What he did know or learn was purely instinct and or luck and with the slight help of a demon Pegasus named Night another companion like himself of the vampire that lived in the cabin in theses woods. He couldn't even place seeing another creature like himself in theses woods and half wondered if his kind had been whipped out completely,but little did he know that it was plenty full of his kind....that is if he just knew where to look. So he decided to follow his nose to what he assumed was the deer unknowingly coming across a very massive creature a whole lot bigger than him and of a solid white color. He was of a lime green color, except his four paws and the tip of his tail and under belly and slight mane that hadn't fully came in yet because he was still young was of a white color and his eyes was also that of a lime green color. He tilted his ears back slightly as he backed away from the massive creature as he had turned towards him. He appeared to be much older than himself and beard slight scars across his mass of white fur. Maeve was wandering around, distracted and in honesty a bit terrified. She was young and had thought it fun to run off from her pack. That was nearly a week ago.

Her pack was small and mostly made up of stragglers who had escaped long ago hunts. It wasn't hard to slip away while the elders had been hunting and she thought it would be fun to run off, maybe have an adventure. Now she was alone, dreadfully lost, and could only remember the scary tales her mother had spun about hunters and demons. Oh, why did she have to run for so fast and so long?

She was so caught up in her thoughts it took her a moment to realize she had stumbled into a clearing with not one but two other vrikalos. Both seemed larger and older, one far more so. Immediately she froze and tried to retreat back into the undergrowth. She wasn't sure what to think of strangers, even if they did look like her.

(Maeve has a light grey pelt and a wild, grey mane. Her underbelly is white along with the toe on her front paws. Her back is dappled with dark and light blue splotches and she has several light blue markings on her face. Her eyes are a dark grey) (hope this works okay!)

The older male was about to say something to the young green one when he noticed another one had wondered out of the wood work and froze in place seemingly scared and not sure what to make of him and the other young one.He smiled slightly at he lowered his head in a greeting his mane like fur shaking with his movement. "It's alright"he said in a soft voice to the two young pups"I wont hurt you at all....looks like you two are alone am I correct?"he asked the two curiously as he heard the green ones stomach growl and seemed to laugh slightly ."It would be much easier to go together to bring down something to eat...what do you say I can tell your both hungry"he added.

the young pup backed away slightly seeming a bit scared and taken aback by the large male and side glanced at the other vrikalo that appeared out of no where as well. "I uh...guess that'll be ok"he said to the large male and looked to the female. "Um...sound like an idea to you..stranger?"he asked.

(that and grey fur is my favorite color)

Maeve relaxed a bit as the white virkalo greeted both the green one and herself. She slowly stepped back into the clearing, becoming aware of her own hunger as she heard the green one's stomach growl. That said, she wasn't quite the best hunter yet. Too excitable according to her mother. She missed mom.

"That... yes. That would be best." She shifted her paws and looked at the ground. "I'm not too good at it though." Maeve looked back up before standing straight. Hurridly, she dipped her head in return. "Oh! And I'm Maeve sir! Sorry to seem impolite."

(hehe awesome....mine is blue green purple and black...)

Yukiyama smiled at the both of them. "Oh it is fine as long as you listen to my directions and be patient and as quiet as you can I am sure we can all take down something pretty quickly "he said to the two .Though he himself could probably take down something alone just by himself by his mear size alone. He was a pretty old vrikalo after all .One of the first ones that Midnight had made.

"And it is fine Maeve it is nice to meet you...and what might your name be little one?"he asked the green one.

"Oh uh...I don't have a name yet my master....I uh...mean my person hasn't came up with a name for me yet....he wants to make sure I have a good name and not a stupid one"he added.

Yukiyama tilted his head slightly. ~So I have a lost one and a pet to deal with....hmmm interesting ~he said to himself.

"Alright well...that's ok....lets go and see if we can't find something to eat...and talk more about what happened to you two after we get some food into our bellys. I never came across a pet vrikalo before."he added and looked back to Maeve"So....whats your story?"he asked her curioursly.

Maeve nodded, determined to follow orders and not be a hindrance. She looked over to the green one as he was addressed, tilting her head as he mentioned a person. She borderline stared at him as if looking would explain to her just what that meant. It wasn't like she thought all people were bad, there were many kinds after all, but she also never heard a vrikalo call a person 'theirs.'

When Yukiyama said pet, she nearly balked before realizing she had been asked a question herself. "Oh um, well," she felt her ears grow hot with embarrassment, "I ran off from my pack and kinda, uh, just got lost..."

Explaining herself certainly made her feel being a pet wasn't as embarrassing as it could get for a vrikalo.

Yukiyama seemed to smirk slightly at the two of them "Well it seems your both hot messes huh?"he asked with a slight laugh. "Oh that's ok I guess it happens. A lot of hunters been around in theses woods lately for some reason so I can understand this stuff happening which is why it is extreamly important to stick together and not go running off .Though if your like I could help you find your parents"he said to the girl softly and looked at the pet.

"Do you need any help finding yours as well...or do you have any?"he asked.

"I uh....I don't have any.....they where killed when I was just a couple weeks old....and my person found me caught in a trap myself...though I try to hunt alone and catch my own wood,but I got distracted seeing you"he added.

"I see...well....we can help each other out....that's no problem and I don't mind helping two youngers out anyways"he said with a smile it was nice to run into new faces after all.

"Thank you sir..." Maeve nodded, relieved at the thought of help. It was hard not to feel thankful as Yukiyama mentioned hunters in the area and listening to greeny's story.

"Well if you wanted a pack, I'm sure that you could join mine. You'd need a name though." Maeve said to greeny. She had a feeling he would prefer staying with whoever his person was but it felt right to offer. After all, her pack made a habit of taking in strays and no matter what anyone said she could really wrap her head around being a stray. "And you too sir! Though you seem fine on your own."

Yukiyama seemed to smirk slightly at Maeve as she thanked him and listened as she offered the young male a home with her pack.

"Oh um....thanks for the offer,but I don't think I could just leave my person like that...I mean maybe if I was welcome to go back and forth,but I think he'll miss me to much...he sure is a lonely old vampire...."he added.

Yukiyama seemed to blush at the sudden offer that Maeve was offering him. "Oh thanks so much for the offer Maeve ,but I am old and I prefer being a loner,but helping out others and helping them find a home and there place is what I like to do best.I kind of see myself as the care taker for all the other vrikalos...if that makes since"he added.

"Oh well, I don't think you'd be prohibited from leaving but it would be a long walk." Maeve shrugged and then smiled. "To each their own I guess. But I would think its awful lonely without a pack. Even for an old guardian type like you." She looked at Yukiyama.

"Well, either way... both of you are welcome to visit. Though I don't know if you could bring your person around Greeny. Maybe if it was just me and mom..." she trailed off in thought before standing at attention. "Ah! but enough of that, hunting!"
