Welcome to Sornieth Galaxy.
The year is 5098 of the 3rd Era. This world is not as you may remember it. Over ten thousand years have passed since the events that sparked the third age. Dragons populate the galaxy, millions of miles apart. Industry is now the reigning force over these lands, whose population is over a billion inhabitants now. And a cold shadow begins to grow, creeping unseen from the stars.
This world is dominated by technology even more advanced than what we humans currently have. Some of the things used are holograms, teleportation machines, jets that boost flight speed, and many other devices of the future.
Still, this world is far from peaceful.
~The Order of Haliaetus~
The Order of Haliaetus is an ancient order of warriors. Their mission is to protect the Council of Representatives, the dragons who wholly govern the galaxy and ensure that the galaxy does not erupt into a civil war. 5,000 years ago, the Order united the flights and saved the world from the Shade. Since then, they have had a presence and influence in every flight, becoming somewhat of a political web. Today, it is undeniable that the Order is little more than a shadow of the great dragons they once were. The flights grow restless and angry with each other, while the Shade is once again on the steps of Sornieth. Corruption grows within the Order.
They are renowned fighters who generally use swords, axes, and heavy armor. They are known for their inspiring courage...and affinity for drink and coin. Those hoping to join their ranks soon find that few still hold true to the ancient oaths. Most dragons surprisingly double as sellswords. Needless to say, the Order has become complacent.
The Order is widespread across the galaxy, however, their home is on the planet of Thanatos in the Earth Flight.

I shall take no riches and win no glory. I will never run from the call of battle. I am the shield that defends the peace of Sornieth. I am a dragon of the Order of Halieatus from this day until my last.
~The Night Wing Syndicate~
The Night Wing Syndicate are a brotherhood of assassins. Once, they were great allies of the Order, until they betrayed the leaders of the Order and were slaughtered into extinction. Three thousand years later, the Syndicate and its ideals have somehow been revived. They seek to take Sornieth from the claws of the crumbling Order. The flights see their growing power and different ideas. Perhaps, it is time for a change.
The Syndicate's dragons are renowned assassins. They work exclusively in the shadows and are known for their intelligence and wits, but their stubborn pride as well. They seem dishonorable in their tactics, but most of the Syndicate has Sornieth's best interests in mind.
The Syndicate's current home is on Kryos, a bleak moon orbiting the shadowy planet of Atlas. There, they have a base and a number of ships. They are under the protection of the Shadowbinder.

1. You're expected to adhere to the lore of the world. If you have any questions about whether something is acceptable or not I am ALWAYS willing to help out.
2. You're allowed to take liberties with your character, HOWEVER, it must be reasonable and relatable to the story.
3. You cannot "God-Mode." You many kill NPCs, but don't harm other peoples' characters without their permission. You also cannot dodge every attack nor land every hit. Lastly, you are not permitted to control another person's character in any way.
4. Try not to diverge from the plot. If you have ideas for a story, consult the creator, Kamirah, and we can talk it over. I love to hear ideas, but characters cannot go off and do whatever they want.
5. If your character is particularly foul-mouthed or disrespectful in-character, that is allowed, but disturbing behavior, especially to fellow roleplayers outside of character is strictly prohibited. If you read these rules, please put OATHKEEPER in all-caps somewhere in your application. Thank you!
6. This is a literate roleplay and thus you must have at least 6 sentences per post. Furthermore, the progress of the plot depends on character action, therefore, you MUST interact with one other character per post. Do NOT ignore character interactions.
7. This IS a selective application process. To keep things streamlined, we will accept everyone. Applications will be reviewed by a number of Moderators. Keep in mind that this is NOT first-come-first-serve. You CANNOT reserve spots/roles, so please do not ask.
