Nestled in the Tangled wood sits a building of treated dark wood, a place for travelers to rest and others to just come have a good time, meet others, and enjoy the food the bartender and co-owner Aurelio creates. Of course, he and his siblings had their fair share of differences and disagreements, but they all had a very strong bond with one another. Out of the dragon's three other siblings, Death was always the most quiet. Though, whenever he did speak, his remarks were full of humor and sarcasm. The dragon never did fall short on witty comments, he seemed to be overflowing with them. Other than his sarcastic humor, Death is not one to beat around the bush when it comes to important tasks and he always finishes what he starts. The soft sound of chirping birds filled the air around the dragon, relaxing him as he strode along a narrow dirt path. Death had not the slightest clue as to where he was headed, but what fun was there in knowing everything? Where would the sense of adventure be if he could name every path he ever took and will take? It wasn't long before a pleasant scent filled the dragon's nostrils. The smell of bubbly alcoholic beverages was growing stronger and stronger as he continued his stroll. In only a short amount of time, Death found himself inside a lovely little tavern. How exciting! (I love the idea of this cute little tavern, btw! :^))

(Lol, I've made so few forum posts that I just forget that you can sub to certain threads.)

The Spiral's voice sounded automated, like he had stated that very line over and over again to the point where those words were burned into his mind. With every little ding from the bell those words would spill out, though that last bit sounded fresh. Was it not often for some visitors to conceal their faces? Surely. Plenty of hunters, lost wanderers, and who knows what more than likely sought shelter within the tavern.

But of course, now was no time for pointless indecencies. Cymbiir reluctantly took off her mask, holding it in her paws as she moved closer to the counter. "What have you got to eat?"

The tavern looked incredibly welcoming on the outside and even more so on the inside. Death swiveled his head back and forth, looking at all of the lanterns and candles that decorated the establishment. Several round tables were scattered throughout the pub. Surprisingly, the tavern was relatively empty. The only residents inside were a little Spiral and a mischievous looking Imperial.

Shortly after his own entrance, two new dragons came in to the establishment. They both seemed friendly enough, though one reminded him of the Imperial who had first entered the pub.
Death soon brought his attention to the Spiral behind the counter. The Skydancer was so entrapped in the scenery around him, he parctially forgot he could sit down and have a quick drink in this lovely little bar.

(What's really weird is that I swear I subbed to this thread when I posted that response but I wasn't subbed when I came to respond this time.... What the heck?)

@SmogMom

While it wasn't uncommon for dragons to come with masks or hats it just brings peace to the Spirals mind to be able to see his patrons; always a skittish, zippy man. Placing down the cloth that had been in his claws in almost a blur he's into the kitchen doors and right back out, calmly picking the cloth back up to polish a few glasses for soon use. "Mostly meat and plants native to the wood but I have a few things that aren't from around here.... If you want something specific you can ask and I'll attempt it.... No promises on it tasting the same."

He eyes the Skydancer cautiously, not exactly sure what he's doing looking so dazed around the room. It's not fancy or anything and Aurelio sees it every day and sees no reason for someone to be so..... Entranced, is the best word he can think of. As he's currently engaged in conversation with the Imperial he simply lifts a glass up while looking in the Skydancers direction as if to ask if he would like something.

(It's totally fine! I've done the same thing multiple times in the past so I understand.)

@Lashy

The pair looked at the Skydancer in front of them and took the menus. They were slightly surprised at her rougher voice and many scars. It was obvious that she's been through a lot. As they look though the limited drink options they here her recommend "Siani's Solvent" and "Kima's Kit." Gealus looked up at her. We'll try those out then. They sound pretty good.

After the skydancer left, Gealus and Landon decided to look around at the small tavern more. It's relatively small, the lanterns and fireplace giving it a cozy feel. They see two other guests and another bartender. The guests were a troublesome looking Imperial and a sketchy Skydancer while the bartender was a dark colored Spiral with strange yellow flowers falling around him, caution evident in his eyes. That Spiral has mysterious flowers like Landon. Interesting. The look in his eyes, is he alright? Gealus watched as the Skydancer looked around in awe. What's his problem?

Gealus watched the Spiral and Skydancer while Landon stared at the fireplace with a glossy look in his eyes.

Siani gives them a slight nod before heading over to the bar and sliding in next to her mate to go about making the drinks. Aurelio's attention is briefly distracted from the two in front of him by his mate. Of course he looks back at the others but when Siani was done making the drinks she nearly trips as the Spirals tail is wrapped around her own. Giving his tail a brief pat as she moves away from Aurelio with the drinks.

She brings the drinks over to the pair, noticing out of the corner of her eye Landons attention to the fire. "There are blankets and pillows by the fire should you wish to rest by it. We aren't busy right now; I'd be fine serving you over there. Just don't set the place on fire." Usually such a comment would likely be said in jest but Siani very much means it as she said it with a straight face; the wood may be treated but it can still catch fire under the right amount of heat.

"If there isn't anything on the menu you would like to eat Aurelio is always willing to try new things out should you ask. Are you ready to order?"
@Dvelyn

"I'll take any sort of food you have, so long as it has meat in it." Cymbiir said as she took a seat at the counter. She placed her mask down on the counter, wishing she still had the silly thing on. While it did little when keeping eyes off of her, she never did feel comfortable with it off. Ah well, a few moments without the mask wouldn't be so bad...

The Imperial waited for her food patiently and quietly. There were plenty of lost souls and thieves like herself who had a more theatrical side, but she never did enjoy their company. They were all far too loud and obnoxious. Luckily, the other visitors within the tavern were quiet... for now at least.

Death was so amused by his surroundings he almost didn't notice the bartender asking him if he wanted a drink. A smile pulled at the Skydancer's lips and he nodded happily. He made his way over to the bar and began to look over the menu. The variety of drinks was rather sparse... Out of the options given, Death decided to go with 'Siani's Solvent'. Hopefully it tasted good.

After deciding what he was going to drink, Death waited for the bar tender to finish up with his other customer. There was no need to rush. It seemed that for once in the Skydancer's busy and always serious life, he could finally slow down and relax. Of course, it wouldn't be long before he was sent out on yet another barbaric and brutish task. Death just hoped it wouldn't be some silly scavenger hunt for a lost relic... he hated doing stuff along those lines. Nothing soured his mood more than pointless treasures wanted by some pompous dragon.

@SmogMom

Aurelio nods to the Imperial, zipping quickly into the kitchen to set some beast roasting. A minute or two later he's zipped back out, tilting his head at the skydancer for a moment before turning his attention back to the Imperial. "Should be out 'n a few minutes.... If you two would like drinks now would be a good time to speak up."
