TOPIC | Coliseum PvP Win Rewards
1 2
This has likely been mentioned before, but I think it'd be a useful addition to the site, and revitalize a feature that has frankly been dead for ages.

The Coliseum's PVP feature is severely underused. I've waited for over 40 minutes at a time to be matched with someone, and I don't think I've ever actually been sent into a battle.

I believe some sort of reward for winning a round of Coliseum PVP would revive the feature, especially if the items are exclusive or otherwise desirable. Drops could include food items, materials, or PVP-exclusive apparel or battle stones.

This change would also likely increase the diversity of battle stones and stat distribution, instead of the 'meta' grinding build being dominant across all dragons.

Thank you for your time,

There probably should be some sort of incentive to use the PvP feature. I mean, Coli fighting is kind of boring, but you get stuff out of it. All you get from PvP is bragging rights, so it seems...less than fun, and a waste of time when you could be doing the same thing but *getting* stuff.

(Please don't ping me in the Suggestions Forum).
No support for battle stones as exclusive PvP reward because this fosters elitism and yields an unfair advantage in a competitive environment.

Apparel or Vistas (and only these!) are fine though.

Personally I would rather a Coliseum Shop, than PvP getting exclusive rewards etc...

The PvP shop would have a lot of low rarity items (potentially food from coli etc..) as well as some high rarity, for a great many points.

You would get points to spend from both PvE and PvP though the point distribution would be geared towards PvP

So, say 10 points for a PvP win, 5 for a loss and 1 point for a PvE win (or if it needs to be greater, make the costs in the shop higher, and give more, say 50 for a PvP win and 10 for a loss and 1 for PvE win)

I think this would be fairer all around as there are many reasons people don't do PvP

I myself don't like doing it because it is always slower than PvE and I have to pay attention to it (I can wander away during PvE while waiting for animations to finish or whatever and come back to the same fight, do that during PvP and I have lost the round)

Not everyone can be online at times when there are enough people to PvP which means they would be at a disadvantage trying to get the PvP exclusive rewards.

SOme people simply don't like fighting other players or don't want to fight other dragons for whatever reason.

This would allow those players to still earn points, BUT at a much slower rate. This gives those who are willing to PvP the 'advantage' of getting those items in the Coliseum shop first and making a profit, but still allowing others to be able to work their way towards it one fight at a time (and again, if those numbers are too low for the number of battles done, then they can be adjusted so that PvP has a clear advantage over earning points)

I quite enjoy the idea of there being a shop for the coliseum using points as payment. Doing so would also make beginner players have a more fair chance of earning food for their dragons, plus it’ll make the coliseum a bit more fun for players overall but.

I'd abuse this with my siblings and friends tbh, just keep refreshing the match until I get them, fight or lose it wouldn't matter since the profits would come home anyway.

Replies may be slow, so sorry ;w;
My concern would be, if the rewards are too good, people would multi-account to lose with one account and win with the other to gain the good rewards. If the rewards can be balanced and multi-accounting can be caught without punishing innocents, I'm neutral on it. But I think, if they're going to do something in the Coli, captchas need to be fixed. (I don't know how captchas and PvP would work out, but if PvP does wind up being captcha'd, we NEED better captchas.)
