Support! Like in ROBLOX where you can have Group Chats that are private to everyone except the people in the Group Chat. That would be helpful.

No support. Most people here use a Discord server. From at least my experience, it's never been a problem.

Sorry, but no support. If you want to talk to your entire group of friends, you can always use a forum post (and bonus, you might find more friends)
Group chats would need to be moderated and it very well could cause site lag. Plus, many of the sites I am on with chats, I have seen many complaints about the chats being dead, or being full of spam that the moderators aren't around to get rid of (sometimes even worse if a moderator isn't around, though I don't think that would be a huge problem on FR)
I would support being able to PM multiple people at a time as long as advertisements weren't allowed (which I don't think they are) to prevent people just PMing a HUGE group of people to advertise their hatcheries etc...

A separate Group Chat for everyone would be difficult to moderate. And having Private chats that allow some people in but exclude others? There's a reason that's not allowed in the forums. Excluding people isn't worth the drama.

it would be awkward to try talking with your whole friend group on a forum post plus what category would that be? Plus I see ppl with "Private w/ (insert username)" forums all the time... and then you think that chat or RP is so interesting but you can't join.

if it wasnt for the moderation issue, i would think realtime interaction on fr would be cool :O

Perhaps a group PM function that could only be used for your site friends? That way you can't just send mass PMs to random people to advertise, but otherwise it's still functionally workable ^^
