It's definately not the first time this has been brought up, but I would like to make a point to bring it up again.
It would be really interesting and would bring a new layer to decorating your dragons if skin and accent layering were a thing on this website. It almost seems natural and would incourage to purchasing and spending of gems if people were to further be able to customize their dragons in this way.
We can already see how accent layering would look because of skin and accent displays, and I don't see a reason why this change would have an overall negative affect on the website.
What's your opinion?
Would this be a good or bad idea?
Do you have mock ups of skins or accents you would layer together?
There are countless possibilities to the kinds of designs you could decorate your dragons with if skin layering were possible, but here's one of mine if I could.

There's already a forum for this, here's the link:

I think the last time I heard the general opinion is that, while layering skins/accents would be a fantastic feature, people might attempt to take advantage of this and have a gross pile of accents on their dragons or something like that, and they have no interest in implimenting this currently. However they have changed their mind before, so enough supports may change this provided some compromise may be met.

I'll check out the link thank you.
As far as that being the the best reason not to consider implementing this I find it a bit of a weak answer. People can do what they want with their dragons all they please and it doesn't really affect anyone other than the owner. People exile dragons without putting a name on them, or dress their dragons in way I think is tasteless, and put accents on dragons I don't think it really matches with already, but that's their decision to make. Then there are dragons who's colors and genes are not all that fantastic, but someone out there might like it. I just don't really get why not.

Again, that's what I remember being a general consensus, it's been a while since I've read that thread. I would like to see the feature, but maybe balance it a bit, like only being able to equip 2 skins, 2 accents, or 1 skin and 1 accent to avoid accent piles. I'm not very well versed on website coding and functionality so I personally think it has something to do with lag / page loading times, but I'm probably wrong.

I have been wanting this for years. But I agree with @
MakiMakappa--a dragon wearing ten skins/accents would be beyond ridiculous, so limiting the amount of skins and accents could be a good compromise.
There's been
so many times when I've put an accent on a dragon that was already wearing one (the preview doesn't mind layering it) and my jaw dropped because it was so beautiful. As suggested above, a limit of two seems more than reasonable, and gives you so much more possibilities to create gorgeous dragons.
The extra skin/accent slot could also be unlocked with gems, as you do when you want to be able to wear a certain number of apparel, so it'd be good for the economy as well.
