I know theres probably a lot of posts on this subject and putting a new breed on this site is a lot of work but hear me out:
I call it a Pitcher Dragon (like a Pitcher jug/plant y'know the one)
Goblet Dragon (the plants are called webbed goblets sometimes) or
Nepenthe Dragon could work too.
This one's an adult male.
This ones a hatchling. (updated to look more like a baby credit to @LicianDragon for helping!)
I never completed the female because I'm just too busy and those two took more than a week to finish
Update: done this sketch of the female pose!
I have the full psds for both of those and they're formated exactly how the skin psds are.
The tail tip and "teeth" are the horns in the file.
Behavioural wise they sit and wait in shrubbery for prey to come along with their mouth open. Bigger prey however is hit with their stingers and eaten when they're paralyzed. Their diets would consist of bugs and meat. I think it would make sense for them to originate from either the Plaguebringer or the Gladekeeper's domain.
Their skulls are a bit weird, pretty much flipped upside down. The eyes are on the bottom jaw. The brains still in the top tho because it just wouldn't make sense for it to be in the throat omg.
I've also been working on some tertiary genes for the breed on the hatchling.
Ghost
Contour
Spines
Whatever this is??:
circuit and glimmer are a work in progress rn

I got lore suggestions to add... An alluring scent that draws everything including other dragons in making them very popular among other dragons... pitcher plants produce an aroma to draw in prey...

I had an idea:
since the likelihood of this ever being a real breed on fr is very low, maybe i could submit this to be a breed on dragon cave?
they have a suggestions form specifically for new breeds
the only worry i have however is the forums on DC have said only one request per person and i have another breed idea for that site im excited to submit
any ideas?
