I want to be excited for this update but I look at my lair full of light dragons who now have horrible lemon eyes and I want to cry. The new eye color is a vastly different look for many beloved dragons. I know I, and presumably a lot of other users as well, chose our flights based partially on eye color. and we bought and bred our permas with eye color in mind.

Also mentioning that wind eyes have the exact same color for two rarities, and I would appreciate one of them to be changed to the original pale green.

As it can't be changed FOR CERTAIN to a specific type on existing dragons, it would make much more sense to make the basic eye type the original default, and the new shading one of the new options in the eye system. It's inconsistent across flights, unchangeable on existing dragons after this event, and in general just doesn't fit a dragon-breeding site where people keep existing dragons for years because they like their look as-is.
I love the eyes and making a less breeding-project-dependent variant of dragons, but several existing dragons now look COMPLETELY different with the new eye shades - in particular any spirals, as well as any dragons from water, earth, shadow, and wind.
I'd love if you would consider making the switch back!

Yes, please. Some of my dragons are more or less ruined, the hue shifted so much it clashes with the rest of the colors now. My permababy mirtor is the worst, the eyes look totally different and I chose Light specifically for milder color that matched Maize.

Support. The way our dragons are customized make a sudden, uncontrollable change that we did not ask to happen very disappointing in my opinion. I enjoyed the colors as they were, and feel if anything was going to be changed, it should have been only the additions. There are many people who are displeased with the update, and to see everything changed, including what used to be, is distressing.
This greatly affects people who have tried to get dragons to match their eyes for the previous five years.

Or give us some reliable way to get the original colors back. If the default eye color absolutely must be changed, then at least give us a "legacy" eye type or something (and an easy way to acquire it, maybe a cheap treasure vial). Something. Anything but just dropping this change on us with no possible way to go back.

Oh man is this new common shades ever inconsistent between old is sometimes a new color and sometimes gone entirely.
I fully support, the new shades are awesome for further matching, but not with removing the previous matches.

...huh. I read the announcement assuming that no existing dragons would have changed and went right to the coli. Checking now...
Common Ice feels too bright to me, and in female Faes at least the pupil looks very washed-out. Ice dragons have been valued for a long time because their near-white eyes didn't clash with much of anything. That's no longer the case.
Water common also isn't great; I spent a
lot of time and effort breeding for
this boy, and now his eyes are a different tone than I'd planned on.
