I know this sounds really silly, but imagine that you’re on stage 13, you need only one more point to clear the stage. Flipping tree of the elements isn’t available, so you just clear out random stuff from the screen. And finally, when there’s only a tiny red line on the time pillar, the game decides to give you a very cheering ’GNARLY!’ word. Within that time, the game’s over. You’re outta time!
I don’t wanna sound naiive, but this really disappoints me every single time. Please take the cheers away ;__;

SUPPORT ARGH
I've lost a few matches because of the cheer messages taking up time. ;__; Either taking them out or having an on/off switch (like the toggle for special effects in the Coliseum) would be nice.
At the very least, make the clock freeze on the cheers. I've had this same problem, when suddenly it's clearing loads of combos that aren't the type of artifact I need. And then boom, out of time.

The cheer messages take up time?? hooooo boy. I don't play this game, but that sounds very frustrating! support!

Support. It's a common occurrence, enough so it's also a definitive stopping time for me whenever it happens. Which is a shame as artifracture is the only game I enjoy playing.

Support. I stopped playing it for this reason. :’)

Searching for Marigold/Brown/Sanguine.
Support, I've pretty much quit playing artifracture largely because that aggravated me so much. If I've got x minutes to finish, the game shouldn't be sucking up some of my playing time on a completely pointless thing that has no value in the gameplay.
It feels like something that's built in solely to cost time and mess things up for players.

Support or at least make the timer pause while the cheers are going on.

You only get the 'Gnarly!' when you clear a combo/chain - I think it's 4/5 matches in a single move.
What's counter-intuitive about Artifracture as opposed to similar games, where combos and chains typically get you points and bonuses, is that here, combos and chains are usually
bad - not just the cheer message, but the animation of the cleared blocks themselves, eats up your time.
I try to avoid making chains whenever possible; the best way to do this is to work from the top of the screen down; the fewer things that need to drop down, the less likely it is that another match will result.
(There's a good guide to this method of play
here.)
I agree with you that it would be nice if such things didn't count against the timer, though.
