TOPIC | Revenge For Unnamed Exalts
1 2 3 4
We all know and loath the pain of selling a dragon, and the buyer immediately exalting it without naming it. It's especially heartbreaking when you liked the hatchling and hoped it would go to a loving home.

So, why don't we have the ability to take back that hatchling/dragon whilst subtracting double the treasure they gained from the exalt? Or at least some other way of annoying the buyer? But not give yourself a reward because then some people could just make another account and send hatchlings there to be exalted. Also having to give up the gems/treasure you earn from selling the dragon.

I've just had enough of people who do that. Anyone with me?

What? When someone buys a dragon, it's theirs. End of story.

Edit to add: Simple fix if you'd like them named is to name before selling.

The topic of unnamed exalts has been discussed multiple times and it all boils down to the fact that once a dragon leaves your lair, you have no say in what happens to it. Personally, I name all my hatchling before selling them so I dont run into the unnamed problem. It's a easy solution and if the buyer decided to keep the dragon and wanted to rename it, scrolls of renaming are only 6k in the marketplaces.

As for your suggestion of subtracting double the exalt payout from the buyer, this would be a definite NO. As stated, once you sell a dragon, it then belongs to the buyer. Punishing them for exalting their own dragon would be highly unreasonable.

In short: name your hatchlings and dragons before you sell them and you shouldnt have a problem.

Do you have what I need?
This is the worst "unnamed exalts" suggestion I've heard in a long time.

First, as others stated, if Unnamed bothers you you should name your hatchies before you sell them, second once a player buys a dragon it's theirs to do whatever they want with; including exalting it, named, unnamed, leveled or not.

Second, taking treasure from a player for using a core mechanic of the game? Whose use is highly encouraged/a main way of making trasure for many? No
Just no

I don't usually comment on these threads because others already expressed the conceptin many ways before me, but here I really felt like giving my two cents

I think getting the dragon back is a nice idea, but probably don't punish who ever bought it.

Absolutely no support.

You sold the dragon, it no longer belongs to you. It still belongs to the exalter (exalted dragons are still tied to the account that exalted them). People are allowed to do what they want with their dragons (within the rules of course) and that includes exalting unnamed. The breeder/seller has absolutely no say once the dragon is no longer in their lair. If unnamed offspring bothers you, name before selling.

People exalt unnamed dragons for a variety of reason. I have some that I exalt unnamed for lore. Your playstyle is not any more valid than mine.

Only if the buyer can then take back the money they spent on the hatchling to buy it from you and the dragon and all the siblings are auto exalted, with no money earned.

Bottom line is, you sold the dragon, you got the money from it, you didn't feel that dragon was important enough to send out into the world with a name, so it is your fault the dragon got exalted unnamed.

Well, this is a new one.

During the last Light dom I exalted L25 dragons. I bought them from a user who bought cheap hatchlings and let them age to adulthood in their lair. Does this mean the player I bought them from gets treasure taken away and the person who originally hatched that dragon and sold it for 4k treasure gets to forfeit 4k treasure to get a L25 dragon?

The real issue seems to be one of control. If you don't want your dragons exalted then stop selling them. The only dragons you control are the dragons in your lair.
