i feel like im gonna get a lot of controversy on this but here goes:
i know that people who sell their dragons dont want their dragons to get exalted, especially if the dragon is unnamed. i think that maybe their should be a possibility that you could make it so, (maybe this is a thing the game jsut does or maybe the original owner has to by an item for this idk) that it cannot be exalted without being named firsthand. another thing i would like (though i doubt it would ever be possible due to the ammount of work that would have to go into this, but im going to list this here anyways) that maybe a team of people could go through and give unamed exalted dragons names... i know this is a lot of work and is probably a huge pain in the butt, but for what its worth, i'd volunteer for something like this. maybe their'd be a miny game or something where it shows a random exalted dragon and someone can give it a name and it'd be a widespread kind of thing. i know this would take a lot of time and effort and is way easier said than done, but i thought i'd just put it here anyways in case some one liked my idea...

oh and one more thing: i think i'd be cool to have a family tree kid of thing for a dragon. an option that you can click to show the entire extended family of a dragon, with the names and pictures of a dragons relatives. i personally would find that very entertaining.

No support. Search for other threads about Unnamed exalteds to see why. It's a, tbh, hated suggestion.

If writers are supposed to "show not tell," why are we called "storytellers" and not "storyshow-ers"?
NO, I sell plenty of dragons with no care if they are named and/or exalted, if people care about unnamed exaltation, then they need to name before selling. Once a dragon leaves your lair, it is no longer yours by site rules, and you have no more say. Simply naming before you sell completely solves that problem.
I exalt unnamed if I can help it, because in my lore the deities prefer unnamed exalts, because its easier for the dragons to get used to their new designations, which consist of letters and numbers that specify their rank, what they do, and where. This would be infringing on my playstyle, so a huge no support from me.

Unnamed dragons need love too! There is no shame in having unnamed permas, having dragons with unnamed parents and/or offspring, or exalting unnamed dragons! Leaving dragons unnamed is a perfectly valid playstyle!

:/ i guess... but i still the family tree thing is a good idea.

I do not support any kind of 'buyer agreement enforcement' type of suggestion, not just the problem around unnamed. Anything that gives the seller more power over the dragons they sold than the buyer is not supported from me. If we allow this kind of dictation over a dragon that 'you cannot exalt if unnamed', then we'll get 'you cannot resell a dragon', 'you cannot rename a named dragon', 'you cannot exalt without breeding', 'you cannot breed this dragon'... etc being asked to be added as a sell agreement suggestion, and none of these will end pretty. So I'd rather not open that can of worms from the start.

edit:
Regarding family tree, as long as it's a tree that only goes back and includes only immediate ancestries (parents, grandparents, great grandparents... no aunts/uncles/cousins), and no offspring, then I definitely support it. The problem starts when you add those secondary and tertiary relatives and offspring into the family tree, because one dragon can have multiple mates, and because the incest rule only dates back 5 generations, you will get loops in some dragon's family tree that's impossible to be displayed in any sensible fashion. Also it became too big and will drag the server down to produce such family tree.

I think thats also been suggested, and shot down do to server strain issues. A full on family tree is a lot of data for the server to hold, especially when you consider that some lineages can go back dozens of generations, thats a huge tree.

Please name dragons in your lair if you care about unnamed dragons. Dragons outside of your lair belong to other people and those are not your concern. Exalted dragons still belong to the people who exalted them. ---------------------------------------------------------- It's reasonable to have a family tree that includes parents and possibly grandparents but it gets really, really unwieldy when you include siblings. This guy is the reason family trees which include offspring and siblings is a bad idea: He's not even the most prolific dragon on site since he only has 257 offspring. No support for family trees that include offspring or siblings.

I want to live in Theory. Everything works there.

Have you checked the Gem MP for Gene and Breed scrolls before buying an AH listing from me ending in 5g?
There is nothing wrong with Unnamed dragons or with exalting. Players are doing nothing wrong if they exalt a dragon Unnamed so there is no reason to prevent Unnamed exalts

The breeder can already prevent Unnamed exalts by naming before selling. It is impossible for a player to Unname an already named dragon.

Exalted dragons belong to the exalted so the only one who should be allowed to name an exalted dragon is the exalter of that dragon.
