I’ve seen so many thread of people asking that naming be required upon hatching and honestly that takes time and most people honestly don’t care if a dragon goes without a name and don’t want to waste time naming fodder.
Well in most of these suggestions I see the usual name is required before you return to your lair page or another common suggestion of naming required for exalting. I honestly feel like I don’t want to waste my time doing either of these, but in each I these threads someone usually pops up and suggests something far greater and more simple for us users.
It goes something like this:
“Instead of all hatchlings automatically being called unnamed how about instead of that hatchlings are given a name from the randomizer and allow unnamed be a usable name. Then each hatchling/dragon still have a one free name change from their given hatch name so if you want you can give a dragon a better name.”
Now this seems like one of the best suggestions I’ve seen to end the controversy of unnamed exalted. Although if implemented I don’t think it should change already exalted dragons and since anyone breeding fodder don’t have to wast time naming hatchlings that are just going to be exalted to exalters being forced to waste time before exalting all newly hatched dragons will already have names and if the Hatcher doesn’t like the name it got when it hatched they still have one free rename before putting their dragon for sale.
But with this we should be able to name dragons unnamed for lore purposes or whatever. And with this big exalters won’t have as much harassment from people over names, and unnamed exalts on offspring lists will be almost nonexistent to dragon pairs in the future unless someone names their dragon unnamed.
So someone tell me how this idea could go wrong other than people purposely naming a dragon unnamed to exalt it as harassment? Because if someone cared about their hatchlings that much and they hatched with a supposedly ugly randomizer name they still have a free name change to fix it before they sell.
