TOPIC | Ability to merge partial stacks in hoard
1 2
This is a minor nitpick - but I just happen to find it extremely irritating.

There are many reasons why you might end up with 2 (or more) partial stacks of the same object in your hoard. The most irritating is Crim, who always insists on taking items from the full stack (leaving you with 98).

You know the story from here: You have 2 stacks of X, one has 98 in it, the other maybe has 10.
You go to the AH and you want to sell a full stack of 99 X - but it can't be done (even though you have 108 altogether).

In order to be able to list your full stack on the AH you have to move both stacks to the vault and that will result in them getting merged back into a full stack of 99 and a partial stack of 9. Then you have to go to your vault and move the merged stacks back to your hoard again. What a palaver!

Can we just have a drag and drop feature from within the hoard? Pick up one partial stack of X and drop it on the other partial stack of X, and the underlying code does the same operation that it would do if you were moving those 2 stacks to the vault and "merges" them for you.
If that's too complicated, I'd even accept a change where Crim just takes items off a partial stack in preference to a full stack.

A quick merge method would be lovely; for some reason my items love to stack in weird ways.

Always support. It would make me feel less obliged to flip through multiple pages of 99 stacks to find the one partial stack (which of course won't hold still, which is also something that needs fixing) when converting food.

yessss i agree
that moment when you accidentally convert some food points from the wrong stack.... then you try to sell the food TAT
and also it just keeps the hoard more streamlined and compact in general
so it isn't ridiculously sprawling

Wouldn't need to do it so much if the AH could understand multiple stacks and if Crim pulled items from the last stack, but this would be a decent workaround I suppose[emoji=guardian deadpan]

JSYK, you only have to put one stack in the vault, not both. Say you have a stack of 97 Squirrel Skulls and one of 13. You put the stack of 13 in the vault, take it out, and end up with a stack of 99 and one of 11. Still annoying, but a couple fewer clicks.

Of course if they made small modifications to Crim/the AH/the hoard so you didn't HAVE to do that, that'd be great!

So much support! Partial stacks bother me a lot, and I would love a quick way to remedy them. I like the drag and drop idea, drag one stack onto another to merge them.

Ugh yes this drives me UP THE WALL. Please, can we have some fix for this. I don't even care which option, we just need something!

Support, this drives me absolutely nuts and I hate it. The only way I've found to get around it is to put those partial stacks into the vault and then get them back out again. But you shouldn't need to do that.
