TOPIC | Dragon Bio
I'm not so sure this has been brought up before, but as I was lazily trying to dress my dragon thinking how much his colors match my banner (or as my friends call it, my dragon watermark). I started to think about how many people use dragon bios for a lot things and how people exalt dragons for lore, so it got me thinking- What if dragons kept their bio upon exaltation? I'm sure I'll get a lot of distaste for suggesting the idea but I still wanted to put it out there

This has been brought up before, but pretty much isn't supported.

One of the main reasons for exalting is to remove data. While I don't know whether the bio is kept upon exalting or not (I believe that dragons restored have their bios, but they could still be wiped after a certain time frame), if they are kept, I feel that they should be wiped.

However, even if they are kept, most players put random notes in bios, so it wouldn't make sense to display them. Why does the entire site need to know that this particular dragon was supposed to get X gene at one point?

Also, there would be a problem of players who put 'plz don't exalt' or variations like that in the bios. Those would be displayed on the dragons, causing more problems when players can still see that.

Plus, some players might have 'return to player XXXX' in the dragon bios (one of mine does because I lent her out) and when exalted, players might believe it was that player who exalted that dragon, and while most of the time it wouldn't be a problem, imagine if it were a 'sought after' dragon that was exalted like that.

Finally, there would be the issue of players who would put NSFW stuff in bios of exalted dragons, (they already have that type of stuff in regular bios to my understanding). Or, try to load the bio up with as many words as they can in order to 'bloat' the bio. Or just general harassment, funny stuff, or whatever people can think of to amuse themselves.
Dragon's restored do not keep their bio but cool, thanks
Oh, thanks, I never restored a dragon, so have heard some conflicting things. I thought some people said they had their dragons restored and the bios were there, but that may be progens or I may be misremembering things. In that case, since the bios are wiped, then I would say no support simply because it would cause too much extra data, mostly useless data to boot, to be kept. (as the ratio of dragons with lore/bios that players want to be kept to dragons that are exalted as fodder or because the owner got tired of them etc... is pretty small)

Apparently it only applies to non-progen dragons to get their bio wiped. Also no support. Why would you want to save the data? I mean , you can technically store the data till you can't bring a dragon back anymore. Otherwise I think it's a pretty useless feature imo.
