I recently managed to work up to setting up a couple of level 25 Coliseum farmers, so I've been running through the Coli a fair amount lately.
One of my problems is the dragon Captchas that come up sometimes when battling. The bonuses they give would be nice for a group of low-level dragons trying to make their way through the venues or for farming in really high level areas, but for a group of super-powered Eliminate farmers in venues like the Woodland Path, it seems redundant.
Personally, the Captchas put a halt on my battling flow and slow the process of farming for the sake of a random stat bonus that, a lot of the time, I don't need. The Captchas are by no means difficult, but they're a break in the pattern of key presses or mouse clicks nonetheless. A few minutes ago I actually tried to just click through a Captcha in one spot hoping that enough incorrect guesses would boot me into the next battle without the bonus, but instead a pop-up said that I have to "wait to do more Captchas" and I got kicked back out into the Coliseum home page. Trying to go back into the venue I was farming yielded and still is yielding that same pop-up, so that's a bummer, but I imagine it's just an unintentional side-effect of the Captcha system.
Maybe it's already a setting and I just haven't seen it (please do let me know if that's the case!), but I think it'd be nice to be able to turn these Captchas on and off or implement a cancel option when they come up, if at all possible. As far as I've heard, the Coliseum is low on the priority list for staff, which is totally understandable; in the meantime, though, I'd like to know everybody else's opinion, both on the Captchas in general and this suggestion.

Sectanza Unfortunately, the captchas serve a vital purpose in stopping people from making coli bots and cheating, so they have to stay. I think it's very unlikely we'll ever be allowed to turn them off completely.
Several suggestions have been made before for text-based captchas or for making the stat boost rewards more valuable though, which i like.

I doubt Staff will add the option to turn Captchas off. I wasn't active at the time, but as I understand it they were added to prevent bot farming at or around the time they made Flight Rising open to join at all times instead of doing joining weeks ~monthly. The reason the captcha locked you out is that you got it wrong too many times, on purpose or not.
I dislike them as well, but I understand why captchas are included; since I'm pretty confident they're never going away, I'm personally in favor of alternative captchas or, like you mentioned, the ability to "cancel" or deny a captcha in some way fairly easily and quickly- maybe a big red X can appear among the items on the captcha so it's quick and eye catching. You forfeit the bonus, but if you're high level it doesn't matter much, and if you're low level you probably just wanna get on with it. Also I'd hope to have it be visually distinct enough that even users who feel barred from the Coli due to vision issues or color blindness can once again play.

My 5 AM Coli-farming brain forgot the whole purpose of Captchas in the first place--whoops! I fully understand and support them being a thing, then; keeping bots out is a vital factor to keeping Flight Rising's economy in check, after all. It is still a tad jarring to be getting into the swing of things only to be thrown into a minigame of Where's Windsinger, though. Like @
Mothlight suggested, a bold option among the typical dragons, familiars, items, etc. in the Captcha as a quick but bonus-less alternative to picking out the difference between an Imperial and a Hippogriff sounds nice, I think.
