TOPIC | +1 every lair expansion
1 2 3
I've gotten about 4 lair expansions and it's already getting pretty pricey, I feel like if the amount of slots added per expansion beyond the 100,000 threshold should go up from 5 to 6 slots, making it more rewarding and less stressful. This can be a continuous increase every time after 100k that caps at 10, or just another slot every major increase in spent treasure for the expansion. This would be especially relieving considering the cap of 75k in the fairgrounds making it difficult for someone with a plethora of dragons to get an increase that's going to cost them about four days of complete fairgrounds to get a 295k for a 5 slot increase, which doesn't feel rewarding at all.

The price of the slots is one of the ways FR is encouraging playing and being on site. If it doesn't feel rewarding, then perhaps Hibernal Den slots would be the solution as they are generally cheaper per slot.

@RadTv

Keep in mind also that lair expansions are capped at 200 dragons (with 405 additional in the hibernal den). If expansion costs were significantly cheaper, people would be buying more dragons faster, and hitting that wall faster. (It might seem far-off now, but if you keep getting permas, the day will come...)

@Lara8 Looking at your 494 dragons, i'd say this day may come faster than one could imagine! [emoji=coatl scared size=2][emoji=coatl laughing size=2]

Ping-friendly. Loves coatls and skydancers.
@tmplr

Lol, I'm not a great example, because most of those are fodder or breeding-project dragons - but of course they do still take up space, permas or not.

And I'm still getting new permas, if cautiously, and so far I've never changed my mind on a dragon once I decided to keep it, so...eventually the day will come.

I will never be able to support changing the price of expanding this far into the game. Those of us with fully expanded lairs spent millions to get there, it would hardly be fair to make it more affordable now.

OP may be in for a rude shock then. Lair expansions currently go up to 1,175,000.

As for the suggestion, no support. Not only is it easier to make treasure the more slots you have but as you gain experience playing it should also get easier to make treasure. We need all the sinks we can get to keep from devaluing treasure in the long term.

I want to live in Theory. Everything works there.

Have you checked the Gem MP for Gene and Breed scrolls before buying an AH listing from me ending in 5g?
I try to think of it this way: if I think lair expansions are expensive, it means I probably can't afford to feed the dragons :D so it's a safeguard against my own silly impulsiveness

When you're not new the money won't be as much of a factor :3

I understand why people wouldn't support making slots cheaper, but for those people like me who have been playing since 2013 and STILL can't afford lair expansions? It's because theres no good way to make money that doesn't involve hours of grinding time that I simply DONT HAVE, they should remove the cap and either lower the prices or find a way to make treasure more attainable.

Ask me about the Ice/Nature Hatchery!
@midnightsparks
With a little practice, 15 minutes a day will get you 75kt from glimmer and gloom. Brewing in Baldwin will net you a tidy profit for very little time spent.

The richest people on site? Accent makers and people who play the AH. Not usually grinders. You don't need to spend hours if you don't want to, there are plenty of ways to make good money.
