TOPIC | A "newly released" tab for marketpl
1 2
Self explanatory but to elaborate :

Have the tab open for about 2-3 days where newly released stuff is avalible with a large number of stock so theres enough time to get them... Pretty simple

It minigates reload scumming to wait for the damn things to show up, IF they show up at all.

For a comparison,Dragcave has the same issue when new breeds are released ,you have to pray to not get screwed over by other players.

For one, DC's new egg drop mechanism is totally different to FR. DC's drop is solely based on rarity and how many of such dragon is on site. And each biomass drops certain amount of eggs every hour. So the reason we're seeing only new eggs for the first day is not because of the site giving new eggs special privilege, but simply because they are new and there are very few on the site, and the site is trying to balance out the total number of them existing by dropping more. That is also why rarer breeds tend to have other eggs mixed in faster because they reach that balance quicker. Actually, the same applies to breeding too so breeding anything old with new is more likely to give you the new egg just because there are less on site overall.

For FR, as far as I'm aware, no item is 'competing' with each other when they are restocking. Each item has their own rarity as to how often they restock and it has nothing to do whether other items restock or not, or how many of a certain item is on site already. In other words, even if we have a separate tab for new releases, we'll still have the same problem of empty MP when RNG decides not to restock. Even if we have the new items stock at a ridiculous number, say 1000, we'll still see empty page when RNG pull a 0-restock and at each 2-hour clear up from time to time.

If you're suggesting a place where new items are 'always available' for a few days with limitless supply, no support. I can only support this if all items are available limitless, always, which we know is not going to happen.

Also, what's wrong with snipers making some extra money from players who are not willing to wait a few days/weeks? And also what's wrong with waiting for a few days/weeks to get the new items? I'm still trying to get some new colour flowerfalls from several updates back and I'm in no hurry of getting them. Patience is virtue, they say.

Do not support.

The fun of new items is the hunt to actually get them in my eyes. If it was super easy to get the new items right at release it would easily lose the appeal of finally getting the item. If I could easily buy the whole apparel set right at release I'll most likely throw it on a dragon and forget about its existence in a week. If I have to keep hunting the Marketplace for small parts over a week or two it's much more enjoyable.

For once, I support. I get that patience is key for this game (and to be honest i’m not one to buy new items when they just released because I prefer to have a plan of what I’m gonna do with them) but snipers are just extremly unpleasant and make it unfair for players who have less treasure to access those items. Even some items that have been around for ages still get the same problem. Tho I’m not sure how a new tab would help preventing this problem, if it does, I support. Again, won’t use it but it’s a nice touch for less fortunate players.

This wouldn't change anything though? By simply loading them into another tab, it wouldn't change how much they show up or in what supply. That's based on the items rarity, whatever that may be. And there's only going to be so many stocked at any given point and they'll be gone just as fast. So I don't see the point of this.

If you're saying that new things should stock more often, in higher amounts or have a limitless supply for a time, then no support. Supply should be based on an items rarity. If it stocks rarely and in fewer amounts, so be it.

Instead of having to look through ALL the restocked items in the MP, the snipers just had to look through one tab, that is guaranteed to only have the new items. It would make it much easier for them to snipe the items. Plus, snipers are part of any game that has an economy. That is simply how supply and demand works. Yes, it means that users who aren't good at sniping can't get new releases immediately after the release, but as long as those items don't retire, it doesn't really matter. It also means that players might have to pay more from the AH if they can't get those items in the MP, but again, that is part of supply and demand. The site already releases new items in larger stocks I thought. However, there is only so much the site itself can do without basically seizing control of the economy and saying 'okay, THIS item is worth X and you can't sell it for more and THAT item is worth Y'. If the economy is left in control of the players (which it should be) then supply and demand comes into it, and the lower supply/higher demand items are going to be sniped, no matter how many they stock, unless it is limitless.

That would benefit people already good at MP sniping, not people in general.

Support!

This would make sniping way easier and possibly more profitable since I wouldn't have to shift trough all the old stuff!

No support for making them stock in unlimited supply though.
