i think everyone who's ever had a g1 to gene has scryed them with pretty gem genes, only to give up on the idea due to the cost of a single(!) one of them. i do understand they are meant to be pricier than regular genes, but a single gen gene costs 10 times more than a treasure gene. while something like speckle costs 125kt, iridescent costs 1500 gems (i.e. 15$. 15$ is a lot for JUST the primary)
i propose that a price difference should still be present, but for it to be a lot smaller. maybe around 750-850 gems? and around 1400-1500 for the breed changes.
edit: after reading everyone's suggestions, how about making future gem genes a lot cheaper, also making their price range depending on the complexity? e.g. something like firefly being around 500 gems while something like butterfly can remain around 1000

It's too late to alter the prices of existing gem genes, HOWEVER I am all for adding a selection of cheaper gene options to the gem marketplace in the future.

I'd love cheaper, simple, yet still 'shiny' gem genes added - especially tertiaries that only affect a small section of a dragon for an extra pop!

Yup yup we don't think the price of existing ones should change but we'd be all for a few smaller, cheaper gem options :D The price of treasure genes varies we don't see why it couldn't for gem ones too.

I would support cheaper gem genes for ancients,if they release any. Otherwise you don't have to pay 15$ to buy a gemgene. You can easily achieve that much while playing the game.

If Gem Genes are too expensive for your desire, you might want to look at gening more often with Treasure Genes, or be more disciplined with your savings.
The price of existing genes shouldn't change because you can't afford them. I've gened...a lot of dragons with two gem genes, often primaries.

Any goal is achievable if you work at it. I've regened dragons before with multiple gem genes and a breed change to coatl, and all it took was a bit of time saving up.

A gem tert that just made a couple of shimmery/sparkly markings here and there would be amazing, but would probably result in outcry if released for the same price as Glimmer/etc, so equal prices for everything just means we wouldn't get a gene like that at all.

Yeah.
Look at firefly and stained. Two of the simplest genes. BOTH of them recieved a huge outcry (and firefly is still getting it), because of how simple they are and their price.
I would love more terts like stained and firefly (perhaps stained where it only stains a portion of the dragon or adds 'stained' patterns to the dragon) and I would love genes that competed against basic. To be honest, I don't care how we acquire these genes, I just want them.

I can't read the suggestion description because of bad eyesight but If it's changing the current genes' prices I don't support :c however I think it would be interesting ot add cheaper gem genes alongside them
Treasure genes are cheaper if you're looking to gene on a budget :D and breeding projects can be even cheaper
