Make all existing and future eye type vials (now that they exist) purchasable through the gem marketplace.
Cycle them to keep them rare if needed, but I think they should be able to be bought outright.
Uncommon, Unusual and Rare can be sold for treasure.
Eye vials can also be released via Baldwin brew, Coli drop, or Swipp trade to keep them rare and challenging to get, but equally accessible.
Please Note: This suggestion will not in any way
impact breeding for these eye types.
The problem with the Vials of Scattersight is the hard reality you'd need an infinite amount of vials (and infinite clicks) to get the desired eye on your dragon(s). That's frustrating, stressful, and not fun. If we had to go back and make the choice again, we wouldn't release the item.
Galore did present a way for us to find a compromise on natural eye type implementation. We agree with you, this could have been implemented better and we're working on that.
Hope?

Even making the vials gem-exclusive would be better than the system we have now. This game was marketed towards those who like aesthetically-pleasing dragons and goal-based projects, not towards people who like gambling. That changed basically overnight.
I am also not joking when I say I'd consider paying a million treasure for a Primal Eye Vial.

It takes
Twelve Years for one Imperial pair to produce a Primal-eyed offspring of a specific sex. Goal-based breeding is dead.
Support. I see no downsides to this. Everyone can stop complaining about the eyes, the community's faith is restored in staff, and THINK OF THE GEM SALES.

this right here is exactly why i've always had problems with the current eye system

No support. This would remove all interest breeding has for me if you could just buy your way to the only thing you can't currently control.
Unhatched eggs and scattering are already incredibly popular, I don't see how this bit of gambling is significantly different - particularly since you can revert anything you don't like to basic.

Lol, gotta love how this immediately came back after the main eyepocalypse threads got locked.
But yeah, always support. There are so many good reasons to do so. Expecting players to spend literal years (someone calculated 6, that's as long as the site has existed!!) on breeding projects for new eyes is ridiculous, and some dragons like progens cannot be rebred.
And that's not to mention people who want project dragons with other flight's eyes! Are we expected to rent nests (unsupported), pray that someone else hatches the dragon we want and are willing to sell it, or shell out millions on scattervials, a dwindling resource, and hope that we get what we want?
Wouldn't it be so much better to reward active play, such as saving up treasure, using crafting/trading mechanics, coli farming, and especially buying gems, than rewarding passive play (breeding and hatching nests takes like 2 minutes a day)?

This isn't locking people out of breeding and allowing them to get free, surprise eye types. I'm sorry if you feel working for eye types in a different way (saving up money vs spending time to breed) would somehow ruin your gameplay.
This is strictly for people with old dragons, irreplaceable dragons, progens, gen 1 collectors etc. who want to be able to customize and decorate their dragons on a dragon site that encourages users to customize and decorate their dragons.
I can't replace my old dragons and ones who I spent months breeding, and then reneging from the ground up. My dragon in my avatar is a 6 digit oldie - he can't be re-bred. That's what this suggestion is for. :)

Vendrus Because Scattering and G1 hatching coexisted alongside traditional breeding. People who engage in multi-generation breeding projects generally aren't interested in filling their lairs up with G1s (though there are exceptions). And scattering is just done for the lols most of the time. There are people who go months or years without scattering or hatching. But anyone who breeds dragons is thrust into something they can't control.
Imagine if the color Robin was only available through scattering. You couldn't just breed a Cyan and Aqua derg together and get that pretty egg-blue. But it's not like you're guaranteed to get Robin if you scatter either. You might end up with some horrendous Spring/Tangerine/Thistle monstrosity.

I fully support this and I fully support us being able to discuss the pros and cons of any type of eye-related suggestion freely even if people see it as currently impossible.
I think a million treasure is more than fair for primal eyes. I wouldn't even mind it being higher considering the only way people can get primal on existing dragons is through a retired, RNG skewed consumable.
I feel uncommon, unusual, and rare for a medium treasure price is also fully fair.
I also support a NEW Scattervial that will include all natural eyes going forward. Goat would be added into it, as would any future eyes. The odds would be less skewed than the old Scattervial. And this new scattervial would always be available through some means.
Or, we could get a new scattervial for common, uncommon, unusual, and rare and have individual eye vials for the other natural eye types.
There's lots of possibilities that don't breed hard feelings among the playerbase.

Pings are disabled.
If writers are supposed to "show not tell," why are we called "storytellers" and not "storyshow-ers"?
Completely support this- I absolutely detest that you can't scatter your eyes or control them through breeding and it just makes things harder for those of us who want a dream dragon with a specific eye type!
