It's just a small thing, but can we consider changing the puzzle piece emoji's colour to [i]anything[/i] but blue? The blue puzzle piece is the logo for Autism Speaks, which is widely disliked by autistic people such as myself [url=https://www.forbes.com/sites/emilywillingham/2013/11/13/why-autism-speaks-doesnt-speak-for-me/]for a long list of reasons.[/url] Like how they made an ad comparing us to AIDs, cancer, and diabetes.

I’d also support changing the colour simply based on the fact that we already have a lot of blue emojis, and the blue puzzle piece blends in too well on the emoji list. I didn’t even know that we had a puzzle piece emoji until I saw this thread! Maybe it could be pink, yellow, or orange instead? Something to help it stand out a little better (and get rid of the Autism Speaks issue).
Support, if only because of unfortunate (but likely unintentional) implications. Perhaps change it to a nice dark purple like in the Jigsaw icon on the Fairgrounds page?

2) Would adding other colors mean we could keep the blue? Because I'd rather have more puzzle pieces in more colors. That way there wouldn't be undue attention on the blue. But we could still have it

Support. That's a pretty unfortunate accidental connotation.
Also, I don't know about that organization in particular but quite a few of the sleazier "charities" are really nasty and litigious about anything that infringes on their symbols/trademarks/logos etc. So changing it might be a good move just to avoid possible (even if unlikely) hassle from that direction as well.

I’m usually not much for changing that kind of thing, but that is really unfortunate. I’d rather see more puzzle piece colors be added, but changing it would be perfectly fine by me in this case.

Personally, since I love puzzles and love blue, I would prefer they add other puzzle pieces, in different shapes, rather than change. Maybe even change the shape of this particular puzzle piece to an 'interior' piece to further disassociate it with the autism speaks puzzle piece.
However, (and this is also in answer to the above thing about the 'charity' potentiallly going after FR for using a blue puzzle piece) the two pieces aren't actually the same shape and blue and puzzles are really generic concepts, even when put together.
Perhaps they could make 'flight' colored puzzle pieces.
If they felt they had to change the color, then that is fine, I would just prefer to see more puzzle pieces added, so that all players have puzzle pieces they can use if they don't like a particular color, or like this one, blue puzzle pieces have a negative connotation in their minds.
