TOPIC | Ancient Nature Breed: Flytrap Dragon
With the introduction of ancient breeds, I thought I'd propose a dragon concept that I think may be a good fit. Nothing here is final, especially with the concept art not being in a Flight Rising style, so feel free to make suggestions regarding anything about this breed. Overview These dragons are the first children of the Gladekeeper. Flytraps originate from the Gladeveins, although they spread throughout the Viridian Labyrinth back when they flourished. Eventually, they had a decline and retreated deep into the jungle, where they stayed mostly dormant due to a lack of sunlight. . Physical Attributes These plant-like dragons are a smaller, flightless breed. They are somewhat unusual in that they get part of their energy from photosynthesis. Flytraps end up sleeping during the daytime in a sunny spot, while being more active during night. They sleep with their sticky mouths open, catching anything foolish enough to walk inside, and close once filled. Their vines are still somewhat active while they sleep, catching bugs and small rodents that walk on them and depositing them into the mouth. The vines also lash out at anything bigger that comes close. Social Flytraps are fairly clever, having actually been the ones to begin the building of aqueducts in the Gladeveins. However, besides that, they didn’t really build much for structures, since it benefits them more to stay outside. Despite their threatening appearances, Flytraps aren’t particularly aggressive, at least when they’re awake. They fight when it’s needed, but tend to be rather peaceful among themselves. Tactics Flytraps are geared toward offensive fighting, with sharp thorny vines to lash out at and grapple enemies as well as good magic. However, they don’t have very strong hides, making them fairly weak defensively if an enemy is able to fight through their vine-like limbs. Due to this factor, grappling can often be risky, and keeping their thorny vines between them and their opponent is usually safer. Flytraps are nimble and skilled climbers which can be utilized in jungle or forest ambushes, but lack of wings makes them unable to completely utilize their agility. Diet Insects and Meat

These plant-like dragons are a smaller, flightless breed.

Please help me raise my Dragon Cave hatchlings and hatch my eggs by viewing and clicking on them. :D (A big thank you to everyone who has already helped!)
Support. It's a very interesting and cool design. My only issue is that the secondary seems to be a bit small- maybe the vines could fade into the secondary color?

Yeah, you have a point about it being too small. Here's a couple of ways of adding more secondary, the way you suggested and more leaves.
