I want a page that has information (Habits, common personality traits, trends etc...) about the different flights. The information could be canon and be decided by the FR team, or decided by members of the flights that have been around for a while and know their flight.
I’m in Wind and know barely anything about the other flights. I think this could be a nice way for us all to learn about the competition other flights on Flight Rising!
Edit: yeah, I don’t think the headcanons flight members come up with would go on the page, but maybe there’s another place where members can describe how they think about their own flight?
And also I think that the personality traits wouldn’t just be a couple of words, and more like a few wider ranges (if that makes sense?) of personality traits?

Full support! Especially if this was on the 'Pick a Flight' page. It would allow players to more easily choose based on their personality rather then what element they like the most.

This information is already on the World Map which is, in addition, in the process of being updated.

Absolutely no support and I say this as someone who has been active and in the same flight for more than 5 years - players' headcanons and/or beliefs about their flight should stay players' headcanons and/or beliefs about their flight. I can easily imagine the "discussions" if one player's opinion, not shared by another player, is turned into canon.

This information is already on the World Map which is, in addition, in the process of being updated.

idk about the idea that long term flight members decide. (flights are diverse and I don't want any flight to be boiled down to one to three generated traits).
it would have to be staff written and there's already lore for each flight in encyclopedia/world map the bote expansion pack.
tho I do admit it might be hard for newbies to find? but idk that the official lore of the flight really shapes your experience in a flight? been on FR for 4 years, still hasn't read all the ice lore.

No support - there's already (generally very mild) issues with flight stereotyping, the last thing we need is site-supported labels.
I would say that the world map should be linked on the flight choice page, though, assuming it isn't already.

As long as it was clear it was a lore-only thing (not everyone in Lightning likes spreadsheets?), yes please. If all the flights are the same except for eye color, there's no lore reason to have them.
Descriptions of my flight as a community by other users may or may not have been my experience, so I think it should be limited to staff and limited to story.

I would like all the various information and lore and whatever other tidbits are floating around the site to be put into a single place (we already have the encyclopedia, so why not make use of it? Spruce it up, and fill out entries etc..)
However, it should all be SITE and STAFF generated content.
Users all have vastly different ideas, and even two users in the same flights might not see their flight the same way.
For instance, I am in water. I must love oceans and salt and beaches right? Nope. I actually dislike them.
However, I love blue, I love calm lakes and deep quarries, and rolling fields with ponds. I chose Water, not because it has anything to do with oceans (which seems to be its primary territory), but simply because I wanted blue eyes.
However, that doesn't mean that all water flight members hate oceans, or love them.
Nor does it mean we see the tenets of each flight the same way.
I also don't think it is right for older users to have the ability to basically dictate their headcannons into lore, by being able to contribute to a 'hey this is what the flight is' type brochure deal.
Also, take one of the most controversial flights: Plague. Plague is about Survival against all odds. However, that doesn't mean that some of their members, potentially even long term members, don't feel that it is about death, etc...

I swear that when you go to sign up there already is a blurb about what types of people might be drawn to certain flights. I mean, it's been over 4 years since I joined but I was pretty sure this was thing. I've seen people mention it's why they joined a specific flight.
Couldn't they just take those blurbs and put them somewhere to be found all the time?
