In all honesty I'm surprised we DIDN'T get this as an eye type on valentine's day, so here's a proposition!
A heart-shaped eye type for Valentine's day! I think it would work well as a brewable item, probably somewhat lower level. Seeing as the other baldwin eye type, dark sclera, has more of a 'creepy' vibe it'd be nice to get one that has more of a 'cute' kinda vibe. My first thought was that like other Valentine's items it'd be exclusive, but I did a bit more thinking. Dark sclera was released around Halloween, but is a permanent item. I think Heart would work well in a similar way; introduce it around Valentine's, but it's a permanent eye type. I think it'd make the two items a nice contrasting pair.
The biggest con I can see is that, as with a lot of eye types, it wouldn't be very visible on certain dragons (aka most small-eyed adults). Considering the fact this applies to basically every eyetype that stays within the eye lineart (including dark sclera) I don't think this is a con specific to this eye type.
I did do a quick 5-minute mockup. Not sure if they look better with or without the pupil. I'll definitely toy around with this a bit more later on and try to get some really solid mock-ups done, but I think this gets the general premise across.
Version 3.0. Heart-shaped pupils too. I think this really ups that whole over the top cute look this eye type should be going for, and makes it match far better. Probably my favourite of the 3 versions so farplus it's better drawn
