Back at it again with another suggestion! So after looking more at the suggestion forums, I've noticed some things! Some responses to posts can come off as a little rude, and I think that could be solved by changing the nature of the suggestions forums. If, instead of being a forum, they functioned more as an anonymous box where users put their ideas for the site.

This forum is for the discussion of ideas for things to be implemented on the site. If people do not want to discuss things, they can send a ticket to the staff via Contact Us. Disagreement is not rude.
And anonymity has never in the history of ever made people act more civil, just throwing that out there.

The suggestions forum is explicitly for discussion! I know when I've suggested things, people have often chimed in with tweaks or reasons why it wouldn't work or outright better ways of doing the same thing. All this would be lost with a postbox, and staff would instead be deluged with dozens of the same idea.
If it was just anonymous and still on the forum, I don't think that would help anything. People are still going to be blunt (I think the only time I've seen real rudeness was on emotive topics like the pronghorn one, tbh, and that got shut down by staff because of it) and the authors are still going to see it.

But people tend to be even more rude when things are anoymous.

In most cases people are only rude if it's a suggestion that's already come up a hell lot of times and could have been prevented if op had used the search function so I don't think anonymous suggestions would solve that, except maybe make people even more rude cause they can't see that it's some 5 day old newbie again suggesting to auto name unnamed exalts.
Also this could be pretty hard abused by trolls purposefully posting suggestions they know aren't liked in the community.
No support from my side.

The suggestions forum certainly has more than it's share of rude people, but making it anonymous wouldn't really help; if anything, anonymity makes people more rude than less. Unless you mean that suggestion couldn't be discussed, in which case it would ruin the entire point of this forum.
