it'd let users get highly specific colours for their dragons when the ones on the colour wheel just aren't quite good enough - and again, also, it'd be a [i]great[/i] way to get "unfortunate" tertiaries to actually look nice and improve the look of the dragon.
+eta: also - a big seller for mods & admins I'm sure - it [i]could[/i] be made a bit more specific (e.g. more or less opaque in certain areas) but it'd be really easy for the artists to just slap on the 'tint' layer![/quote]

I would propose a gene that is only displayed on the wings, like ornaments or something.
Then the tert color wouldn´t be so disappointing overhelming like crackle or gembond and less scaterred than smoke. We could do much more combis with dragons that have "biting" first and tert colors or do cool contrast on the wings.
Name could be: Wing-Tattoo
I know this gene wouldn´t look good on eyespots but I thinkt that not erery gene has to fit with ery other gene! (I mean crackle or curcuit doesn´t really look good on clown, too, right?). We just have to watch which dragons we breed.^^

It can be in all colors with a slight glow to it. It wouldn't affect the primary color, for it just affects a small area.
- Runic - Maybe some ancent runes scrawled along the body to help 'bless' or promote the dragon for good health or luck in battle.
- Cracks - The cracks could be like wing rot or just cracked scales and wings with tears?

There are a lot of lovely ideas in this thread. I haven't gotten to go through the entire thing yet, but I /love/ the sort of "butterfly" suggestion on page 17 by Gryffion. And I agree with many other people that the Underbelly gene looks... a little too plain when compared with Iridescent and Shimmer. If there was a different version of Underbelly that would be more gradient like those genes, or simply be affected by other gene's the dragon has, I think it would make for a much more appealing dragonbelly.
Also, perhaps an Underbelly with little spots on it, sort of like housecats have? (maybe? just a thought)
