I feel that we need more account security. Maybe I'm just paranoid but I have a gut feeling that sooner or later, flight rising will encounter a hacker or something like on neopets.
To counter future evil cyber attacks, i think we should have two usernames.. One username to be exposed to the public, and the second username only used to log in.
We should also have security questons.
On gaiaonline there is thing called IP Verification, where if a user enables it, any unfamiliar IP that logs into their account is locked out until the user confirms it's safe and to allow the ip to log in when the site messages them asking if it's them. So maybe we could do the same thing.
Well I hope you consider my suggestions and thanks for reading. ;D

I sincerely support all of your suggestions!
I was dumbfounded that there was no different login name.
Which should be kinda a must for a site such as this which deals with real money.
The others would make me feel a little safer too <3

wasn't aware gaia had that now(used to play yrs ago), that's a good feature

Extra security would always be better than none at all, I guess P:

For IP address safety: What if a person wants to log onto a computer at a house of a family member or friend and play Flight Rising? The IP address would be different then, yes? Could a person then not play? Only at home?
I like playing from my friend's computer a lot, so I would be sad if we could not play Flight Rising computers together anymore. But safety is good. I like the questions idea. It is a good one.

Re: IP Security. Please, no. Every time I reset my router I get a new IP. This would be a nightmare for me. Power flickers? I'll be locked out. Router acting up? I'll be locked out. No to this aspect of it.
ETA: People also play on their Work computers, Library/School computers, and on their phones. So this would cause an issue for people who don't share my IP woes. Additionally, if you go on vacation: You can't log in and feed your dragons due to the change in IP.
However if people wish to do log in usernames or questions it will take some getting used to but might be okay. I personally use very sophisticated/random passwords. Some sites do mandatory password changes. I've never seen the different username thing, but to be honest... many people would probably just make it the same as their display name so they don't forget it.

From Ebony's suggestion, your friend would just have to check their email to give the okay that it's their acct and should be able to play normally :D
Barring that the site only remembers the last ip used, when they return home, they'll just have to reconfirm their acct again.
As to people with dynamic IPs, maybe just have the security measure be an opt-in thingie that can be turned off/on at will?

Still a colossal pain. If it was implimented I would sorely be disappointed if there was
NOT an option to turn that off. In this day and age, the IP thing honestly seems like overkill.
Facebook, however, does something slightly unique. If you log in to your account from another state, or like, 100-200 miles away from your commonly used location, it will ask you something... somewhere. I forget. It requires extra security measures. That would be far less invasive.
