I don't know if there's a way to leave the game if someone doesn't like the game, I love it but if someone doesn't then how are you supposed to delete your game account?

As far as I know, you can't. That privilege should be in the hands of the mods if this site is like others. If you don't like the game (I'm speaking in general) then the only thing you can do is leave and not play on it anymore.

This is kind of unnecessary, I mean, if you don't like it, just leave the game I guess. I always do that to other petsite that doesn't grab my attention on the first week.

Besides, I think Vintrove is giving the right idea, this delete account feature could be abusive. :(

It could be helpful for when you need to free up usernames though. I don't ever plan on leaving, but I know some people will. They should be allowed to delete the account, which would help clear up quite a bit of space on the server thingie. (I'm not an expert at this kind of stuff, so bear with me)

I think the server only really gets affected when people are online and playing, not stale accounts. While they can clog up a little bit, I wouldn't think it'd be drastic.

But yeah, maybe the admin can "filter" the inactive accounts every 3-6 months.

They can always be allowed to delete their account and have it go to limbo until they accept an email confirmation about it. That way if they get hacked they can still retrieve the account via their email.

I believe that the mods will delete accounts for those individuals who are sure they don't want it anymore, but you have to contact the mods for this to be done. It's possible they will implement this as an account option at a later date.

Shining Light Store Selling dragons. Closed for now.
I'd like to be able to delete my account so that I can join another Flight (there was not enough information at the time of registering, and now I am very unhappy), and also free up the name (it is a very specific/unique name). I believe that account security, passwords, emails etc are in the hands of, and should be in the hands of, the user and not the FR staff, and that the CHOICE of account and information related to the account, should be given to the users also, even through (as I understand), FR owns it.

(Not suggesting that there be a taking-away of any admin powers).

Everybody on Flight Rising is or should be over 13 here and perfectly capable of thinking objectively, at the very least. Falling prey to scams, exploitations, loss of details, accidental deletions, are all the users fault in my opinion. And, well, if one changes their mind later on, that is ones choice, too.

It is the user's responsibility to create a strong password and keep that password secure from the knowledge of others.

It's a perfectly valid warning/advice. I think that if another person is badly informed enough to let another person sign into their account, or otherwise get hold of it, and then their account is deleted, it's their problem, and FR is not in any way responsible. This of course, it just my opinion on things...

I do/did not intend for this post to sound mean or anything...Realising that it does... Obligatory-emoticon-discharge :P :) ;) :D :S :O.

(And I hope it made enough sense, I feel very faint right now and have been typing for long enough that I have forgotten what I have written - apologies).

Just as a regular user commenting on past personal experience:

There are a lot of potential issues involved in deleting accounts on a site that allows you to pay them actual money. Legal issues, accounting issues, and technical issues.

Moving accounts that have been labelled as inactive to a different server or database for optimization issues is all they can really feasibly do towards any possible performance issues, without running into all those aforementioned issues. (And I know that they do already mark accounts as inactive, because only "active" accounts count towards the total Element population for calculating Dominance.)

For freeing up user names, one thing that could be done is allowing users to change their username and having some sort of name-request petition system for accounts marked as inactive, but that's a whole different story.
