Biography

| BANRAI | [♫] Clan Father
{ Clan Founder, Head Tailor | He/Him | Bi }

Banrai was born to a familial clan of wandering clothiers, whose art he became enamored with at an early age. As he grew, so too did his skill, and he sought knowledge tenaciously, regardless of whether or not it pertained to tailoring. Of all of the many dragons in the Sunbeam Ruins, it is rumored that he is one of the most learned regarding the land's history and innumerable cultures—thanks, in no small part, to his nomadic upbringing.

Yet, another yearning stirred within him. Though he loved his family dearly, and hated to part with them, he found that he longed for a quiet place to call his own, where he could perfect his craft and perhaps begin to seek a path beyond it.

Then, as if on cue, he met Dreamweaver.

Banrai’s clan had come to a town near the Beacon of the Radiant Eye to sell their services; Dreamweaver had come on their Patron’s orders to settle a minor dispute between two warring religious factions. Their meeting was by chance, nothing more than coincidence, but they were drawn to one another instantly.

“You’re unlike any dragon I’ve ever seen,” Banrai confessed breathlessly.

Dreamweaver smiled, and Banrai’s heart stopped. “That’s because I’m not a dragon.”

Charmed by their great beauty and fascinated by their mysterious nature, Banrai pursued Dreamweaver zealously over the coming weeks. When it was at last time for them to return to the Beacon, unable to bear the thought of never seeing them again, he proposed to them then and there. Still smiling, their cheeks flushed, they shyly accepted his hand.

With blessings from both Banrai’s family and the Lightweaver, the pair traveled south, deep into the mountains, where they settled in a small, cozy cabin to live out the rest of their days in matrimonial bliss. Dreamweaver would continue to serve the Lightweaver from afar, and Banrai would work as a tailor, selling to the travelers who frequented their modest territory.

At least, that was the plan—before they found Winter, and before they met those they now call their clanmates.
