Audacity is the oldest surviving child of Stogwen and heir to his legacy, born back when his father lived with the Clan of the Burrows in the Ashfall Waste. As a hatchling, he wandered off, unintentionally crossed the border to the Shifting Expanse and was picked up by a small collection of dragons looking to found a clan. Raised by Patience alongside Envy, Audacity was trained as a fire mage, but decided he would rather serve his clan as a fisher-dragon, and so he did. He still loves fishing now, though in truth his favourite activity is playing his lute. He enjoys making songs out of stories, and he'll happily trade travellers for them as well as some of the fish he catches. Though if he learnt anything from growing up in the Stormcatcher's domain it was to be a savvy businessman, and he'll ask for an appropriate payment too after he's flaunted his charm and promised to make their tale into some sort of a legendary poem.

After the Node fell, Audacity settled down in Dragonhome to run a rest stop for travellers. He was one of the only members of the clan that stayed put in the Earthshaker's domain for long periods of time, keeping his adoptive father company. Patience would stay away from the visitors though, and Audacity became ever more concerned about him as he became more and more reclusive. As such, when Envy and Patience discovered Mossgarde, Audacity was happy to hand over his business and move with his family to the Viridian Labyrinth and start a new adventure. As happy as he had been collecting stories in Dragonhome, Audacity still craved adventure and excitement of his own, and the stories were only a stop-gap measure. He was free, of course, to venture out on his own, but he did not know where to go and did not want to leave his adoptive father. Vespa was perhaps his greatest source of comfort. Due to the nature of her mission her visits to Dragonhome were mostly fleeting, but to Audacity her stories were more than worth the wait. When the clan decided to move to Mossgarde, he asked her to come with him, and she accepted. The two of them are very happy together.
Audacity's other interest is keeping track of his family tree and he has some extensive, if not confusing, documentation on the matter. It started as a curiosity, as he has had quite a few children himself and he kept in touch with his father's other children for a while and thus knows of some of his nephews and nieces. As the years have passed by, Audacity has only become more invested in this project, and he is always keeping an ear out for word on other Coatls that have descended from and of his relatives and has asked Vespa to keep an eye out on her travels. As he understands it, his father's line has become rather large and convoluted - for example, he has recently discovered that his own son, Sunfish, has taken a more distant relative as his mate and he's not really sure what to make of the situation.
