Dissonance
Innkeeper of The Bat & Bramble -- Formerly known as The Plagueborn Striker
Work in progress.

Despite a fearsome appearance, Dissonance-- or "Dissy" as he insists on friends calling him-- has a soft, nurturing demeanor often seen as uncharacteristic of a Mirror. While it's true that he was once one of the wildest, fearsome warriors in the Citadel (and likely still is), he's always found joy in tending to others, and nowadays he owns and runs an inn for weary adventurers.
Dissonance is always happy to help a dragon or beastfolk down on their luck, so much so that his family often has to step in before he bankrupts himself. His mate, Elysium, always makes sure patrons pay The Bat & Bramble back, be it through coin, labor, or some other negotiated means.

Life hasn't always been so stable for Dissonance. From the moment he doddled away from his parents' supervision in the Scarred Wasteland, his curiosity and fearlessness have gotten him in trouble time and time again. Raised in the Shifting Expanse, he's every bit as hardy and resilient as a Mirror should be, and it's through those virtues that he lives to doddle further into greater blunders.
After his first mate and daughters left him to wander, Dissonance became noticeably more quiet and self-conscious. He developed a soft spot for hatchlings, and was often found watching hatchlings and eggs while parents were away. In that time, he adopted a shy Imperial fawn that he named Cyanosis and raised as his own.
Eventually he met Elysium while patrolling the sands, and worked to help her heal. The two bonded on the battlefield as they fought alongside Siegfried, and in time settled down as a pair.

Kismet note: it's nothing short of hilarious going through old "scary dragon" threads and seeing they picked Dissonance, long long ago..... he's so intimidating in his lil apron.
