And seriously, everyone I know uses references. Don't worry about it! It'll just make you a stronger artist overall. :D I mean, how are you supposed to understand really complicated body mechanics WITHOUT them if you don't have like 10+ years' experience?

Also? No shame in using references for art! I use them ALL THE TIME. I also see most professionals recommending them too? Unless you've really REALLY memorized what you're drawing (like, it's a specific character), references are A+ and perfectly normal.
