Bluebird's Roost

Named for its small but indomitable founder, Bluebird, the clan of Bluebird's Roost was born of the love between Bluebird and Raven, her mate, who found themselves together in the wilderness. Lacking any memory of a past, they became friends and mates, and as they traveled the woods like leaves tossed by the wind, they decided to follow the Windsinger, and so they began their clan in the Zephyr Steps.

Other dragons were not far behind them; Shizi and Kaze, among others, remain in the clan to this day. Unfortunately, the small clan was beset by troubles from the start, and not long after its founding, the hardships became too many for many of its members to bear, and they chose to travel to serve the Windsinger rather than continue on as they had been. Among those who left were Raven, Bluebird's mate, and all of her children.

Although bereft, the remaining dragons honored the decisions of their companions, and to this day continue to honor their decision by encouraging their young ones to serve the Windsinger.

After Raven left, the clan remained small for many years. Over time it grew in strength as warriors, such as Typhoon and Natsu, settled there from afar, as well as witches, such as Yuki, grew in their powers, and became safer. As it became safer it grew in numbers as well, and today the number hovers around 70 full grown dragons, and 10 hatchlings at any given time.

Hatchlings are all given the chance to travel to a different clan and see the world, but often choose to follow in the footsteps of Raven and join the Windsinger. The many who choose this path are trained by Typhoon and Natsu, a fearsome pair of warriors who are as different as they are powerful.

The clan has relocated several times due to its increasing size, and has settled for the time being in the Twisting Crescendo, but remains reclusive as it remembers its perilous past, and seldom interacts with other clans, even within the Wind Flight.
