Pontifex is the name for a member of the principle college of priests in Ancient Rome.

ABOUT.
Pontifex was naturally quite beautiful from the moment he was hatched. He spent much time grooming himself or finding fanciful decorations and silk to adorn himself with, as well as training his movements to be graceful. He never quite fit in with his previous clan, as they were all very serious and haughty Pearlcatchers. He knew his destiny lay with the Light, so he traveled through the Lightweaver's domain in search of something he couldn't quite name. Along the way, he became a courtesan and created strong political ties with powerful clans and tribes as he traveled. He heard a murmur about a small clan on the rise, which led him to where he is now.

Pontifex originally came to the clan on a whim. Here he met Nyx, his mate and decided to settle here. Their romance was a whirlwind courting, as Pontifex can get under Nyx's hide like no other dragon can, and Nyx is the only one who can calm Pontifex when he works himself into a panicked frenzy. While he misses travelling and seeing interesting places, he adores his strong mate and every nest of hatchlings they create.

He is very cheeky and playful and is always the first to instigate some sort of mischief. Nyx, clearly the more serious of the two, knows how to handle him and always reins him in before he gets into serious trouble. Though he seems childish, he hides the more serious and politically-savvy side of him; the side that created alliances with neighboring clans.

TRIVIA.
• His character was created while listening to El Tango De Roxanne from Moulin Rogue.
• Nyx is the dominant of the pair and Pontifex mostly assumes the submissive role.
• He has a fondness for sweets.
