All her life, Zemira has been searching for the kind of love she knows is out there for everyone. You know the kind, right? The kind you read in all the best books, where the fair lady needs to do little else than to make herself presentable, sigh longingly in some high spot (a tower is best suited for such things) and wait for the one and only to come her way, see her in but a glance and then whisk her off her feet so that they can fly to the sunset, girl and boy, together forever... While love is certainly real in Sornieth, there is only so much that transfers through the fairy tales that the smallest hatchlings hear about from their caretakers. Once old enough, there'll be more mature stories of love presented to the younglings, and usually at this point most dragons understand that love is nuanced and that not everyone will find love in exactly the same way - some might not even want to find love at all! For Zemira, however, the childhood stories have always lived and prospered in her heart and mind, and throughout her life she's kept her eyes wide open for that one true love. So far, she's had several. Others have given them name such as users, abusers and stalkers, but Zemira hasn't understood what would be wrong with the men of her dreams. Even when she is left, sometimes beaten, sometimes deprived of all her posessions, she smiles and says "Well, he wasn't the one!" Thankfully her father Tyrell has been able to coax her to come live with him to the Court, where he can keep an eye on her - most of the time... |
| . Probably the most important person for Zemira (after her true love of course, who is out there somewhere) is her father, Tyrell. For a very long time she believed that her parents had found true love in each other, and envied them greatly while also being incredibly happy to know that such love truly existed. It was not least of all a shock to Zemira to see her parents suddenly and so violently separate from each other, but she soon explained it to herself as just pretending true love. There was a better one for her dear father, and Zemira would do her best to find this match to soothe her father's broken heart. After many failed attempts, however, and even more pained responses from Tyrell, Zemira has let her father be, hoping for time to mend the wounds that so deeply affect him still. Zemira tries her best to follow her father's advice in all aspects of life and is sincerely sorry to have "failed him" so many times with her romantic endeavours. Whenever she's hurt or beaten, she'll find a safe harbour under her father's wings. |
| . After becoming a member of the Court, Zemira has found an unexpected friend in Syriella, the former Clan's "little princess", as she was called. She was immediately taken by her tragic lovestory, which she learned through digging through many outrageous gossips and hush-hush conversations later. Zemira knows exactly what to say to keep Syriella in higher spirits, as she is a wonderful friend and emotional support especially for those who suffer from a broken heart. In truth, Zemira is envious that Syriella has had the chance to taste true love and then have to lose it in such a tragic way - it's straight out of a romance novel! This of course Zemira would never say out loud, as she does posess enough tact to understand that Syriella might not be too happy about such thoughts. |
| . In Raiance Zemira has truly found a likeminded soul. The pearlcatcher shares every bit of her romance-hungry thought, and they often come together to share their favourite books and poems and stories. Most of the time however Raiance has to listen to Zemira fawn over their subjects, since she's riled up into a passionate monologue by just one keyword from Raiance. Raiance doesn't mind, however, not too much anyway, since at least Zemira talks about things that interest him. While Zemira is an all in-kind of girl, Raiance is smart enough to understand when she's being too naïve and trusting about a guy, but the imperial is often already gone by the time Raiance has been able to finish his sentences. He's there to pick up the pieces when Zemira comes back and needs a shoulder to cry on after her prince charming wasn't quite as charming as he was supposed to be. |
Zemira is naïve, gullible and an open-hearted personality looking for the things that make life worth living. She loves parties and socializing with other dragons in the Court, but she's also easily taken by mysterious strangers who offer her even a momentary adventure from the day-to-day life. While her friends try to keep her out of trouble, both for their love for her and to stay clear from her father's bad side, Zemira seems to find trouble in the form of men wherever she goes. However despite having so many bad experiences she seems as positive as ever that she'll find a love for her own and be able to craft a whole story of her own some day. Due to her latest
