As a hatchling, Hacksaw was left to the harshest reaches of the Southern Icefield to die. Only by being found by the roving dragons of the Trading Post was he recovered and able to eventually make his way to Clan Plight.

He nearly perished in that ice, and lingered in it alive and frozen for so long that his body was infused with an Ice magic so strong that his body remains partially and uncontrollably frozen to this day. He resents the constant reminder his permafrost curse is, and like his body, his soul too is frigid.

Once welcomed into Clan Plight, Hacksaw became very protective of the clan. The kindness of its members and his desire to remain in the warmth of Light gave him hope and relief. His power and resilience made him a perfect warrior, and he found the battlefield a great place to de-stress.

After years in the Clan he has become incredibly warm to all clan members. He takes to training new warriors and is like a jolly grandpa to all. His permafrost has yet to thaw, but his soul has.
