But we were too late. The necklace that had sealed away Ibrahim's power was shattered, and its fragments became the seeds of chaos and destruction. Maya is out there somewhere in a never-waking slumber, screaming in despair. We must find her before she dreams the apocalypse into reality...just like Ibrahim.

A reticent agent of Brandish Apollo who lives his day-to-day life as the owner of a bookstore. Formerly a supervisor under Apollo Co., he resigned and disappeared after discovering the corporation’s corrupted history. After abandoning his name, he began a quaint bookstore called “The Crow’s Nest” next to Apollo and started a new life as “Jackdaw." By rejoining as an agent and becoming a part of Brandish Apollo, he used the bookstore to conceal his true motives: to rescue children from Brandish medical experiments and steal exorbitant cures for the sick and poor. One night, he encountered an unregistered Brandish shadowsetter and trailed him out of curiosity. Taken by surprise, the assassin—who Jackdaw later learned to be Kei—lost control and the two were swallowed by the shadows. Jackdaw was soon found in Haven with newfound shadowsetting abilities and was rescued by Fiona.

Widely recognized for his capacity for manipulating shadows, Jackdaw is dubbed one of the six supervillains of the Brandish. Despite his immense power, however, he has a strong sense of justice and refuses to use it for any misdeeds; his unexpectedly soft nature, along with his fondness for small animals and children, makes him one of the more approachable Players. It’s believed that he is the Player closest to knowing the secrets of the Third World.
